Hi, Is there any support page / link where I can see what the meaning of each error that occurs in Bounced emails ? I checked in below link but my error messages in distribution should very different errors than the ones in link below:https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/distributions-module/email-distribution/email-distribution-error-messages/#BounceRates

I want to make sure that multiple respondents will not have the same external data reference value in my directory. I have set up a workflow for a survey so that if a respondent qualifies (the survey acts as a screener for my project) then their participant ID #, which is generated with the embedded data field Login ID = ${rand://int/100000:999999}, will be exported into one of my directories along with their name and contact information. I have set it up so this Login ID will be exported to this directory as each contact’s external data reference value. I am a little worried about the chance of a participant randomly being assigned the same value as a different participant for their Login ID. So, if a contact has the same external data reference value as another contact in the same directory, will I get an alert or some kind of notice? Has anyone found a better method for assigning eligible participants unique identification numbers? I do want to say that the participant will need to

Hello Community,If you use XM Directory Lite and rely on the XM Directory Task to unsubscribe contacts from a specific mailing list, please consider supporting EV-4918.The deprecated XM Directory Task can unsubscribe a contact from a mailing list without opting them out of the entire directory. However, on the XM Directory Task support page, Qualtrics recommends migrating to the Update XM Directory Contacts Task, which currently only supports directory-level opt-outs and does not provide equivalent mailing list-level functionality in XM Directory Lite.Qualtrics Support confirmed:Our engineering team has investigated this issue more closely and unfortunately concluded that the new task is currently not designed in a way that the opt-out option works with the XM Directory Lite. This is because the task is designed only to remove a contact from the entire directory rather than a mailing list and in the case of the Lite Directory, a directory does not exist. Our internal team has carefully

Hope you're doing well!Quick Qualtrics question. We're seeing students occasionally enter the wrong Student ID or class level on our meal plan change survey, which creates extra work when we reconcile responses with RMS.Ideally, I'd love for the process to work like this:Student logs into Qualtrics using Organization SSO.Qualtrics automatically recognizes or validates the student's information.Students can only proceed if the Student ID and class level match university records. If something doesn't match, they receive an error message before submitting.Do you know if Qualtrics can use SSO information to validate or auto-populate student information, or if there is another feature that would help prevent these errors?I'm also doing some research on the Qualtrics Community and other resources to see what's possible, but I wanted to check with you as well. Thanks for any insight!Frederick

Hi team, is there any documentation on how to set up SCIM for Qualtrics? I'm seeing two applications in Okta for Qualtrics (Qualtrics SAML and Qualtrics SCIM). Has anyone already used the Qualtrics SCIM app? I tried to find documentation associated with it, but I don't see any — only for SSO.

I have a survey that gets sent to study participants daily via text message (so there are multiple survey responses for each participant) The directory of study participants has an embedded attribute, let’s say it’s called “xyz.” I want to create a way for a data analyst to be able to download survey responses together with the xyz value *currently* associated with each response. (Note that the xyz value can change over time, and we do not want to have to update all of a participant’s individual responses every time the xyz value changes.)Can anyone suggest a way to do this?

Hi allIn order to comply with our organisational GDPR policy, we need to delete data after a certain time period. Is there a trigger within the Qualtrics Directory that we can set to delete contacts after a certain time frame? For example 'delete all contacts that were added in 2018'?ThanksTracey

Greetings all, so we use a Survey to "register" our participants. So the actual "survey results" are never looked at--the answers to the survey questions are injected into our iQ Directory as embedded data fields. We then filter on these embedded data fields to create samples to survey. So, we recently updated our registration survey and I am getting ready to email the people we currently have in our directory a "please update your registration information" type email which will be an invite to the new registration survey (which again will just inject embedded data into iQ Directory). The issue is that my OptOut link in the bottom of this email invite I'm sending has this code: ${l://OptOutLink?d=here}. If a person clicks this they are taken to the Qualtrics page which allows them to click a link to unsubscribe from that panel. There is a second link that allows them to be removed from ALL panels. When I tested this and clicked the first link, it does *not* opt me out in the Directory

I have a list of students who are identified by their student number. Part of their information contains embedded data that is their parent's email addresses (one for each parent). Is there a way to send a survey email just the parents' email addresses that are located in the embedded data?

Has anyone’s workflow for distribution ever gotten stuck on the “Add contacts and transactions to XMD” for over an hour before? We made adjustments to the file we bring over and made all necessary adjustments, but since verifying everything is right with Red Pepper we ran again just to get stuck on this part.

Hello,I need to send a survey from Qualtrics to users of an external ticketing system once a ticket is closed in that system. What are the current best practices for implementing this type of transactional / post‑closure survey?Specifically, I’m trying to decide whether it’s better to:create or update contacts in the XM Directory and store transactional metadata there, or trigger distributions using single‑contact workflows without persisting directory data. The client hasn’t expressed a strong preference yet. They currently have another transactional survey in place that is distributed via a workflow triggered by a JSON event and sent to a single contact, without storing or updating directory data.Any advice or real‑world recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have a mailing list that is populated each day via API. I’ve created a segment of that mailing list to include only those who have not yet completed a survey. But, my segment continues to show all the members of the mailing list, even those who have completed the survey. Have I set up the segment incorrectly?(I have also tried using Survey Response < 1 and that didn’t work, either.)

Good morning,I’m trying to run four XM Discovery jobs to better understand how Qualtrics ingests Zendesk tickets and whether volume differs based on the following scenarios:Chat tickets ingested as conversations (closed tickets vs. any status) All tickets ingested as documents (closed tickets vs. any status)An initial job ran successfully and ingested tickets as expected.(conversations vs closed tickets)To test the scenarios above, I created four separate projects (one per scenario). While all jobs completed successfully, they did not return any results. It appears that Discovery may be treating Zendesk tickets as globally unique records (by Ticket ID) rather than on a per‑project basis. Also, I tried changing the Universal ID name in every Job/Project, but didn't work either.I’d appreciate any guidance on the best way to approach this analysis. Thank you in advance.Mauricio

Hello, we are currently fielding a fairly large NPS survey monthly using very simple criteria (are they active? are they willing to receive mail from us? have they been updated in our directory recently (so we know those settings are current)?).We also have a directory rule set up so they don’t receive an NPS survey from us within 180 days of their last NPS survey invite (it’s a custom rule and is survey-specific - they can still receive our other transactional surveys). The problem we’re running into, is that the sample that gets pulled by our directory workflow and then about 40% give or take, are getting skipped from what I assume is the directory rule. Our total directory is large enough that we shouldn’t run out of people so quickly.  I tried setting up a sample criteria that mirrored the directory rule, using the statistic data “last invite received” is not w/in the past 180 days - but that wasn’t specific enough and was considering all surveys we send (this one, larger studies,

Hello, We are approaching our seat limit with our contract, and want to remove some employees who are no longer with the company to free up some of our seats. I am hesitant to move forward with this because it says ALL data connected with user will be lost. Does that include previous survey responses? I am under the impression that it is any surveys that they may have owned but am looking more specifically about data loss. Any clarity would be appreciated!

The Issue: Our organization is seeing a 25% opt-out rate triggered by Gmail/Mimecast pre-fetching. Presumably, the ${l://OptOutLink} processes the unsubscription on a GET request (the initial link crawl), the user is unsubscribed before they even see the 'Confirm' button on the interstitial. The Request: Can Qualtrics update the Opt-Out workflow so that the database change only occurs via a POST request (i.e., when the 'Confirm' button is actually clicked)? This would align with modern web standards for protecting user intent against automated crawlers

I have a survey that is being taken with an appended “anonymous link” - the appended url contains contact information, it’s not really an “anonymous survey.”*We use a third party system to generate the appended links. I am pulling all the appended fields in as embedded data within the survey flow.I would like to figure out a way to import the contact into my XMdirectory.

HI, we set up links for a client survey with embedded data, where the emails were being sent outside of Qualtrics, so we wanted one link per client with the embedded data.we set up links such as this one, not realising that the link was a single use link only.  https://brighthorizonsuk.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_51JQPCgiTrJPlvE?Q_CHL=gl&Q_DL=EMD_A67fov1Y7u2BgsH_51JQPCgiTrJPlvE_CGC_YHN0fKLZTPreSoQ&_g_=ghowever we want to use these links for multiple uses e.g. for any employees at that client without changing the link. (we know what to do for the future)Can anyone confirm if links containing Q_DL can be repurposed or reused for multiple completes, even if survey security settings allow multiple submissions

In XM Directory, I merged two contact lists that had overlapping emails. Now some contacts appear with duplicated attributes. Is there a structured way to manage attribute conflicts during merges?

Hi  all, What is the best way to extract data from directory based on reminder date field then send to SFTP Best regards,Angie

We are in the process of moving all of our automations over to workflows. these automations include survey invite distributions via email. Qualtrics support has told me that workflows do not support segments so wondering how those who currently send survey invite emails via segments are going to do so moving forward as Qualtrics transitions us out of automations into workflows?

Is there a way to merge duplicate contacts in XM Directory without losing their survey history?

How do I stop Qualtrics reminder emails from going to people who have already completed the survey?

I’m using Email Distributions and some contacts are bouncing. Is there a simple way to find the exact reason?
