Topic: Query Strings
Although we use URLs every time we interact online, most people’s knowledge of the subject ends after the domain. Query strings provide a way to pass additional information to a website by adding this information to the end of a URL. The syntax consists of a FieldName which is the name of your data field and a FieldValue which is the specific data value of your field.
Specifically for Qualtrics, query strings allow you to pass information into a survey that can be saved as embedded data and then used in branch and display logic along with saving the data with the survey taker’s response. Query strings can also be added to email links, be used to build a retake link, & even populate responses for the respondent!
