@Rod_Pestell Oh my goodness -- that lookup feature would have saved me months of headaches and workarounds. Thank you for calling it to my attention!! I will probably have that as part of all my surveys going forward.
This is an interesting problem, @Pei_2009. Did you ever figure it out? For the second problem, the Chrome behavior makes sense. Your form inputs are not saved, unless you’re usually an extension like Lazarus. I’m surprised that Safari retains your form inputs at all. Does that still work after rebooting your computer? My guess is that this is an issue of how these browsers handle Session Storage, which holds the data from an existing browser session. I thought those data are cleared with you close the tab or window, but perhaps the Safari persists longer in some cases. If you need to really dive into this, read up on Local Storage and Session Storage. For instance, you can view your Session Storage variables in Chrome by doing the following (I recommend doing this in its own window to make things cleaner): Open Developer Tools (F12) Go to the Application tab Look in the Storage section Expand Session Storage Click on the Qualtrics domain to see all the keys and values.
I was trying to find CRUD access to my Library surveys and came across this post. I figured it would be a start, at least, but I did not have success running the request on Library surveys. My redacted request:{ "method": "get", "url": "https://iad1.qualtrics.com/API/v3/surveys/LS_0I...", "headers": { "X-API-TOKEN": "VP..." }}This is the redacted return.{ "meta": { "httpStatus":"400 - Bad Request", "error":{ "errorMessage":"Invalid surveyId.", "errorCode":"GSI_1" }, "requestId":"1ead..." }}I tried in Python and using the "Try It" API: https://api.qualtrics.com/guides/reference/surveys.json/paths/~1surveys~1%7BsurveyId%7D/get
Got it! Just include QuestionJS as a key within the question definition. For example, I might modify the code below to include QuestionJS:QuestionJSquestionDef = { "DataExportTag": "Ques486Stem",... "QuestionJS": }
