Thank you very much @Sashi, @NiC, @AKdashboard. This is a great community and I very much appreciate the high quality, timely responses!
Thank you Shashi!
Hi @bansalpeeyush29 We are trying to do it in Java because there isn't the explosion of # of branches required with branch logic. For instance, there would be a lot of branches just to determine which Rank BMW had, then if BMWrank = 1, BMWweight =1, if BMWrank = 2, BMWweight = .75, if BMWrank = 3, BMWweight = .5, if BMWrank=4, BMWweight=.25, if BMWrank=5, BMWweight=0. THat's 5 IF statements just for 1 brand for one criteria. If we are ranking 5 brands on 5 criteria that would be to be 125 branches. I read JavaScript has a sort function which would make it easy to sort the 5 brands by rank, and then just substitute weight for rank. If I even knew the "internal variables" Qualtrics uses to store the rank information for each choice, I would probably figure out how to hack some javascript I find on line.
Hi @Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam I found that when I changed the order the two statements below appeared, it worked. ( previously had ".Skin .PGR . ..." as the first entry in the CSS box) When I put ".Skin .PGR ..." below ".Skin#Buttons.." it worked .Skin #Buttons { text-align: center; padding: 20px; margin-top: -20px ; } .Skin .PGR .DragAndDrop td.groupsContainerTd div > div {padding-bottom: 25px};
@Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam I got it to work using your code when I switched order of the two ".Skin" statements below. (Didn't work when .Skin .PGR... was listed first.) Not sure why but your code .Skin #Buttons { text-align: center; padding: 20px; margin-top: -30px; ! important; } .Skin .PGR .DragAndDrop td.groupsContainerTd div > div {padding-bottom: 25px};
Will do . - how can I share it with just you? As a general comment it seems like most of the Qualtrics themes make poor use of screen real estate. I found Qualtrics 2014 minimal to be the best
More... when I make the changes to the element right clicking on inspect in CHrome, it works. For some reason it dosen't work when adding it to the custom CSS section. Could something be over riding it? Using the Qualtrics 2014 minimalist theme
Hi @Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam For some reason the CSS code added to the custom CSS section isn't making any difference. I am trying different values for padding and top margin and still the page forward button is in the same place I am using an older Qualtrics minimalist theme. I wouldn't think this would have anything to do with it, but thought I'd mention that. Thanks!
@Mohammed_Lokhandwala_Ugam Thank you!

@bansalpeeyush29 Thanks for responding so quickly. I know how to create embedded variables and how to do the math. The math needs o be done within the survey. The issue is storing the rank values within the embedded variables. If ranking 5 things, there are 120 possible permutations. That would seem to mean 120 Survey Flow IF branches for each criteria that the vendors are ranked against. Forfor 10 criteria, that seems like 1,200 IF statements. I'm hoping there is an easier way. What would be great if the question results (the way they are exported to a .cvs for analysis) would just be populated into the embedded variable, within the survey (real-time)
Shashi, I am getting an "unexpected token" error when I try to enter the javascript. Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() { jQuery("#Buttons").css({"text-align": "right", "padding": "20px", "margin-top":"-5px"}); });
Thank you very much Shashi!
THANKS!
Thanks Emily!
