Thank you @MikeW and @ThomasW_IronMountain for your responses. I really appreciate your feedback!I’ve been trying to avoid Mike’s solution because it would create over 200 conditional display logic questions. Thomas, I’m not strong in JS, but I suspected I would be going down this path.If I’m understanding your solution correctly, the idea is to hard code the conditional logic behind the scenes, so that only a single question is created?I’m going to give it a shot, although I am curious if there would be anyway to reference the table from the drill down question. I think you hinted that this would be possible through an API call. I’m not really strong in the qualtrics engine either. If this is possible, could you point me in a direction to learn more about how this might work.Thanks again.
I was able to adapt this example to count the boxes using branch logic and embeds following this example: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50416475/counting-number-of-text-entry-answers-on-qualtrics-survey. The solution works, but the branch logic ate my back arrow! So I've trying to adapt some jQuery code to Qualtrics and placing the embed before all the blcoks. Just not quite sure how to call the function. jQuery.fn.extend({ countNotEmptyInputs: function() { var count = 0; this.each(function() { if ($(this).is("input:text") && $(this).val().length > 0) { count++; } }); return count; } }); var count = console.log(count) Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData( 'count', Count );
Hi All, I'm a data analyst at the Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research at the University of Montana. My background is an MS in stats and I largely do data cleaning, modeling, and Vizzes for our ongoing surveys. My skillset largely comprises of R and Tableau, but am expanding out and learning Qualtrics. Have some questions, figured I would stop by and say hi first!
