Hello!I have a survey in which I don't allow respondents to participate if they are on a mobile device. In the Survey Flow, I define an embedded data variable called "Mobile" which is 0 at the beginning of the survey, and I set it to equal 1 if the device is identified as a mobile device. The next step in the flow is an End of Survey element, as accessing the survey link on a mobile device kicks you out.I have tested the survey in preview mode, and what I see in the data is that there is no "Mobile" embedded variable saved for those who used a mobile device. I would like to know if someone was kicked out of the survey for this reason - what can I do differently to achieve this?Thanks!P.S. Other embedded data defined at the beginning of the survey (above "Mobile = 0") do show up for respondents who used a mobile device.
Hello,I have a question which is supposed to get participants familiar with a task they have to solve later. The question is a text entry, and they can introduce different numerical values and see how that dynamically changes a result.I would like to count how many attempts at filling in the text entry box participants make. For now, I would also like to display this number on the same page using html (later I will save it as embedded data, the html is just for me to check whether the value updates as it should).I came up with the following, which does not work:In JavaScript, in addOnReady:var counter = 0; jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" .InputText").bind('input', function() { counter++;});document.getElementById("counter").innerHTML = counter; In the HTML of the question, I have the following--before any input, the value of "counter" is -1:-1
Hello,In my survey, I define embedded data in JavaScript. I use the following type of script:Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("EmbeddedDataFieldName", jsVar); However, none of the embedded data fields are visible in the responses - not event the one embedded data field which is defined in Javascript, but then used in the survey flow (I have reasons to define it there, and it is not possible to define it in the survey flow instead, given what I want it to do). What can I do about this? Older suggestions mention ticking "Use legacy ViewResults format" when experting in csv, but this seems outdated.P.S. I have already seen these two similar questions, but their answers do not solve my issue.P.P.S. I may have posted the question in the wrong forum. I'll try posting it in the "Custom Code" forum as well--it seems to be an in-between issue.https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/5839/javascript-populated-question-data-not-appearing-in-responseshttps://www.qualtrics.com/community/d
