Hi community! How do you direct non-responses to other questions? Here is the scenario: Q1 Have you had surgery to your breasts related to cancer? 00: No 01: Yes, a reduction 02: Yes, a single breast removed 03: Yes, both removed If EMPTY, go to Q15 If 00, go to End of Block If 01, go to Q2 If 02 or 03, go to Q3. If there a way to directly say "If this question is left empty, go to xxx" ? EDIT: I failed to mention I cannot use Survey Flow branching logic because respondents need to be able to back up and change their answers (project requirement form client!)
I want to show respondents a picture in one question. To make them look at the picture carefully, I want them to stay on the question for at least 20 seconds. That is, they have to wait 20 seconds before they can go on to the next question. How can I achieve this goal on Qualtrics?
I would like to test people’ memory. I will first present people with a table (see below Table 1) that contains several values in the beginning of the whole survey. At the end of the survey, I will ask them to recall the values in the table presented before and type the values in the exactly same but empty table (see below Table 2). So the problem is how to create a question in the form of table where people can directly type in their answers. ! !
Hello, I'm wandering how can I increment by 1 a numeric embedded data filed when a given questions is displayed? In my survey I'm using attention checks for some of the questionnaires. These are simple tasks - like "please choose 4 as your answer". If a particiapnt fails to pick the write answer I will diplay him a warning (text type question) asking him to be more attentive. What I would like to do, is to keep a live track on how many times a warning was shown so that I can eventually set a end-of-survey if those warinings where shown for example 3 times. Is there an easy way to do it, for someone not fluent in JS? Thank you
Hi Qualtrics Community, I've got another wacky situation I'm trying to deal with. I need to set a dynamic gender text-fill (he/she) based on the question immediately before hand, inside a loop. I know how to do this in other platforms but Qualtrics is a bit trickier. Below is the scenario: Q1 [text/numeric] How many siblings do you have? [Looped block based on Q1 - max 99 iterations] LoopQ1 [radio] What sex was this sibling assigned at birth? 1: Male 2: Female 3: Intersex LoopQ2 [text/numeric] How old is [he/she/your sibling] today? I've been trying a few different things out but this is pretty tricky because it's in a loop. My first instinct was to create a hidden text-fill question between LoopQ1 and LoopQ2 that sets its value based on LoopQ1, but I'm having trouble creating JavaScript that can dynamically set itself based on a question on the same screen. My attempt so far has to use some jquery to search for "ends with" but it's been kind of wonky. Any ideas how you would go
Has anyone ever run into a situation where we soft-prompt based on an unlikely response? For example... HEIGHT: How tall are you? [dropdown of heights going from 4'0" to 7'11"] [If respondent selects height < 5'0" or > 6'5" then soft prompt] "You've selected [response]. If this is correct please continue." Another example: AGE: "How old are you?" [If age > 80, soft prompt] "You've indicated that you are [age] years old. If this is correct then please continue." I've done this on other platforms but curious what solutions everyone else has come up with? I'm limited to 508 compliant solutions at this time. I have a feeling I'm going to have to create some embedded data and set it with JS on page submit (counters + true/false). EDIT: You can also think of this as a CONFIRMATION prompt if that helps!
