Hi community,I have a Highlight Question with a paragraph of text. There's only 1 category: "Contains a G." I ask participants to highlight all of the words that contain a G.How do I set embedded data representing the number of words that they highlighted?I want to tell participants in the next block, "You selected ${e://Field/num_gs_highlighted} words that round." I can't find anything in Scoring, unfortunately. Thanks, as always!
Hello!I would like respondents to see a seating chart with the distribution of booked/available seats drawn from different distributions, which vary with the treatment they are in. This means that two respondents in the same treatment will not necessarily get to see the exact same seating chart--rather, the chart has to be generated for each respondent (from the distribution for the respective treatment). The number of possible seating arrangements is too big for it to be efficient to generate all images, include them in Files and then link them in the question. It seems that the only efficient way to do this is using JavaScript and jQuery. I do not know JavaScript; however, I have managed to find and run pieces of code to draw "true" random numbers from random.org (to generate the embedded data necessary for the distributions of booked/available seats). I have also found script that creates the seating chart here: https://www.jqueryscript.net/chart-graph/Minimalist-Seating-Chart-Plugin
Hi Qualtrics Community,Currently, I'm using JavaScript with display logic to automatically advance blocks after 10 seconds spent on a Loop & Merge question. I'm using the following code: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page is fully displayed*/ var start = parseInt('${e://Field/start_time0}'); var end = parseInt('${e://Field/Q_TotalDuration}'); var elapsed0 = end - start; Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('elapsed0', elapsed0); if(elapsed0 > 10) Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('timeout0', 1); });What I'd like to accomplish: I need to set an embedded data variable that counts the TOTAL number of loops completed during the 10 seconds. I have way, WAY more rows in the Loop & Merge matrix than participants can complete in 10 seconds. Most people will finish 3-5 loops in the 10 seconds. I need to know (in an embedded data field) how many they did complete (so that, in the next block, I can say "You completed ${e://Field/
I have a string of 1s and 0s that I want to have people count. However, to separate those people who are actually counting from those who are "cheating" by using ctrl+F, I'd like to include a few extra 1's that do not appear to people but would get counted if someone was using ctrl+F.In other words, I'd like something to be displayed like this: 1 0 1 1....but actually have two extra hidden 1's so anyone counting would see three ones but anyone using ctrl+F would report five ones (3 displayed + 2 hidden). Is it possible to use HTML to have hidden text that isn't displayed but is counted by ctrl+F?Here's what the HTML view looks like right now.Count the number of "ones" below: 1 0 1 1Thanks so much in advance for any help you might offer!
