I have a survey that has 4 blocks (A, B, C, and D) of questions, and I want to present them in a random order. However, I want each block to be shown first an equal number of times. For example, I hope to get 80 participants to complete the survey, and I would like:20 participants to see Block A first (the order of the remaining blocks would be random)20 participants to see Block B first (the order of the remaining blocks would be random)20 participants to see Block C first (the order of the remaining blocks would be random)20 participants to see Block D first (the order of the remaining blocks would be random)Is this possible to do in one survey? Or would I just need to do 4 separate surveys? The reason is I was suggested to do a within-subjects study, but I personally think that a between-subjects study is more adequate given the stimuli I am using. So I would like to gather the data in such a way that I could do later analyze the data either way (although the between-subjects study w
I have various Carry-Forward Statements in my survey that show the items that were not shown in the previous question. Plus I have Advanced Randomization in all the questions. However, I would like to update the question numbers so they are in sequential order (right now they seem messy). If I use the "Auto-Numbering Questions" in Tools, will that mess up my survey in any way (Carry-Forward Statements, or Advanced Randomization)?
Hello everyone, I am looking for some advice. I have a survey that at the beginning has some demographic questions and then the rest is images with Matrix Tables underneath (each column's heading is 1,2,3,4, or 5, with two labels at the ends, "not descriptive" and "descriptive"). I also intend to use Amazon Mechanical Turk for the subjects. However, I have read that when using Mechanical Turk one should add quality control items/questions (ex. "I have never brushed my teeth") to make sure the subjects are not mindlessly completing the survey in order to get paid. It is suggested that the question is in a similar format to the nearby questions so that it is harder to detect. So, simply adding a single Multiple Choice question or a Text Entry question wouldn't be good because it would stand out even to the mindlessly person.I was thinking of adding a few scattered statements that say something like "one+one" or "one+three" and hopefully the subjects understand to select the second or fou
I have a Matrix Table with 20 statements. I want these to be dividided into two groups and be randomized. To do this I have used Randomization to show only 10 random statements and then Carry Forward Statements to show the next ten random statements. This results in two Matrix Tables. However, this automatically adds a page break between the two Matrix Tables and I would like them to be in the same page. The reason I want two separate Matrix Tables in the same page is because I will have an image in between them. I want subjects to be able to see the image while answering the statements. If I only have one Matrix Table by the time subjects are answering the second half of the table, they will no longer be able to simultaneously see the picture. So the sequence of questions on the page would be: Image A, Matrix Table 1, Image A, and Matrix Table 2. How can I remove the automatic page break that Carry Forward Statements inserts so that everything is shown in the same page?Thank you in a
