Hello. I am creating a slider question with multiple options. I would like to slider's attribute to be bipolar and to be listed on the left and right end of the slider, as shown in the attached image. This works fine using the custom JS code shown below. Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page loads*/ jQuery(".statement-container div").eq(0).append("Comfortable"); jQuery(".statement-container div").eq(1).append("Interesting"); jQuery(".statement-container div").eq(2).append("Relaxing"); jQuery(".statement-container div").eq(3).append("Welcoming"); jQuery(".statement-container div").eq(4).append("Practical"); jQuery(".statement-container div").eq(5).append("Original");});However, I also need to randomize the presentation order of the slides. When I randomize it, the left hand word order is randomized, but the right word remains in the same position. Hence, the pairs of words of each slider are now mismatched. See below:I do understa
TL;DR: 'tools> generate test responses' fails with javascript hidden questions? Multiple-choice display order randomization doesn't work either? Hi all, I recently posted a question about advanced randomization in a 3x3x12 factorial study design. I have solved this issue myself, but now I cannot really test if the randomization is working as intended. My solution relies on passing the displayed choices of a multiple-choice question into a JS script to randomize the stimuli. If a human completes the survey, the displayed choices look like this once I export the data: {6, 8, 10, 5, 9, 4, 11, 7, 1}. However, when I use "Tools > Generate Automatic Responses" the results look like this: {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} or {0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10} or {2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11}, etc.. Note that the order is no longer randomized. One way I could check if randomization is working would be checking the actual dummy responses to my survey generated by the automatic response generation system. H
Hi everyone, I have a multiple-choice question with 80 different choices. I am displaying participants one of the choices, which I am subsequently assigning to an embedded field. Right now, I am using the question's advanced randomization such that each participant sees one randomly selected choice (evenly sampled). However, rather than randomly selecting one choice, I would like the choice selection to be simply based on choice order, starting with the first choice. For example: choice_00choice_01choice_02...choice_79Participant 1 sees choice_00Participant 2 sees choice_01Participant 3 sees choice_02... Participant 80 sees choice_79 Any ideas as to how this may be accomplished? Thank you!
Hello. I have a factorial study design where I need to show participants 9 out of 108 questions. Each question consists of an image (I have 108 of them) and several sliders. The images in the questions show different rooms with different furniture arrangements and different flooring materials. More precisely, I have 3 different room types, 3 possible furniture arrangements, and 12 different flooring materials. I am interested in achieving the following:A given participant sees 3 images of room A, 3 images of room B, and 3 images of room C.All nine images contain the same furniture arrangement. Each image has a different flooring material.I need to balance stimuli presentation.I don't even know how to start doing this, but I would imagine it would require naming each question with keywords that identify its room type, furniture arrangement, and floor material, and then generating a random set of numbers to pick the questions: 1 number for furniture arrangement and 9 numbers to select mat

Hi there. I need to create a survey with multiple questions. Each question consists of an image and a slider below the image. Respondents are asked to rate the image based on beauty using a slider or likert scale. I have a 100 images and I need a separate question for each image. Is there a way to automate the process of creating these 100 questions? I quickly inspected the API and I couldn't find anything. Thank you!
