As in the title, I want to get the times when a user first starts typing something into an input box. And I want to do this for every input box in the question page.I know how to access inputText—you could usejQuery(".InputText")but the problem is, I have two input texts on the same page, and it seems like jQuery .InputText doesn't differentiate between the two.So I tried the following, but the input1time and input3times 'saved' to my data spreadsheet are empty. In fact, the two codes/functions don't even run, as I've tried printing out to the console from both those functions (and nothing showed). I have a countdowntimer for each page that starts automatically and also presses the next button automatically. I need to carry out the same code in multiple consecutive questions, but only the code in the first question will run perfectly well; the second one doesn't even start. When inspecting console, I found all the errors saying Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'innerHTML' of nullEven though I don't think any one of the elements are null since they're defined objects. Somehow, it's just the lines document.getElementById("seconds") in startThinkingTimer() function—the two lines each in the two if statements—that cause this error b/c apparently the item referred to by "seconds" is null at that point.Does anyone know why this might be the case?Or, can I clear all the javascript from the previous question? I am trying to time how long the users stay on each question and how long they spend typing, and have the timers show up on the screen. The question format is more or less the same for each question, so I'm using/recycling the exact same js for each question as well. The first page works great. Unfortunately, things get really messed up when I move onto the second page. The timers don't function at all, but there are no errors logged onto the console, and I'm not sure what's wrong. Also, apparently, the two timers I had on the first page also carry on to the second page, although they're glitchy or not working at all.What can I do to make sure that each page just has two appropriate and working timers (time and time for input)? I've tried to search up similar questions, which often tend to mention clearing the interval as solutions, but I'm already doing that. My idea is to have a countdown, and once the timer hits 0, I'll automatically load the next page. I have two input textboxes per question, and I'm trying to measure the time it takes them to fill out both textboxes.I guess I could start a timer for a keydown/keypressed eventListener or even use Qualtric API's questionclick function (if I understood it right), but I'm not sure when to end the timer esp. because there may be some time lapse between the respondent finishing typing and clicking on the next button. Does anyone know how to deal with this?

I'm trying to create a timer that measures how long a respondent stays on a given survey page, and also make the timer visible on the page as well. With a bit of digging around here and there, I think I maanged to create a timer (thank you for those of you who helped me out in my previous post!) Unfortunately, when I actually preview the survey, I see my timer, but it's static—nothing really shows other than something like this below:time: 0:0If my code runs correctly it should start with 0:00 (but it doesn't), and there's no time updates. I guess the error lies in that I don't update the display each time, but how exactly can I go about doing that?
