My survey includes MCQ with 4 options. I have to set it to where participants are not allowed to change their answer, so the first option they click on can be their ONLY answer. Is there a way to force that? Maybe make it to where after they select their first answer it automatically goes to the next block? I don't know anything about JS and html. Can anyone help with this? Is that not an option with Qualtrics? Also not sure if that impacts the design but right now all MCQ pages are preceded by a corresponding video page and that each video + MCQ form a block. Blocks are randomized and I have a response time set up for the MCQ page. Response time shows first, last click and next but I need to eliminate the option of clicking multiple answers. I am not very happy with the fact that response time records "click time" and not answer selection time: if anyone has a fix for that, it would be greatly appreciated as well.
Is there a way to prevent participants from watching a video more than once if the video files have been uploaded in the library (there are not Youtube videos)?
I'm building a survey where participants will have to watch a series of 58 video clips. Each video will then be followed by a multiple-choice question (on the next page). I need to record response time for the question page and randomize the order of the questions. I'm not exactly sure how to do that and would like some input. Each video must be associated with a specific question but the video and question must be presented on a different page, so I created one block for each question. I created a first block for bio data and instructions. Then each of the following block corresponds to one question and contains the following: text question with embedded video / page break / --> timing question --> multiple-choice question. / page break / I used the randomizer in the survey flow and added it after the first block (with bio data and instructions). Under the randomizer I added all 58 blocks corresponding to the 58 video/questions. Will that work? Is there an easier way to hand
Is there a way to have participants select their answers to a MCQ using the number pad? Right now, I have a 4-option questionnaire but participants must click on the correct answer. I'm replicating a study though so my response time won't line up if I'm not using the same method as the original study: what they did is participants needed to push number 1 to select the first answer, number 2 for second answer, etc. Not even sure if they were able to number the answers since they are supposed to be randomized.
I'm a total newbie here and I know very little about javascript. I'm trying to figure out how to add a "previous" or "back" button between blocks so participants can go back to the previous page if needed and I just cannot find a way to add that. The "next" button is automatically there but no "previous" one.
