Reverse order of scale questions depending on Country | XM Community
Skip to main content

Hi,
I have a question in my survey which scales from "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree".
When rolling out the survey to multiple countries, we have learned that in some countries it feels natural to scale question choices from positive to negative, while in other countries it feels natural to scale the question from negative to positive.
Can I make the sequence of the scale points dependent on a variable in which I determine the Country?
(I could make two questions, one for each scale direction, and put Display logic on each of them depending on country, but I am looking for a solution to keep one and the same question, because otherwise we have a lot of hassle of combining the two questions again into one to report them together in the dashboard).

To be honest, making two questions with display logic sounds like the best option to me. You could use the bucketing feature in Data & Analysis to do the combining, and I think it would only take a few minutes? Just my two cents JoycaV ...

Note: Qualtrics automatically flips matrix answers for right-to-left languages.

But applying it to many many different touchpoint surveys takes a few minutes multiplied by many, plus then in the dashboard also for those many surveys the mapping needs to be redone with the new bucketed variable.
