rondev Is it possible to get the tooltip to display when the user hovers over any portion of the single answer container rather than only when hovering over the text?

The tooltip adjustments worked perfectly! I hadn't changed all of the "$" to "jQuery."However, I'm still unable to get the jQuery('.TextEntryBox').hide() ; to function as expected.

When I change the text entry size, it seems to break the jQuery('input:text').hide() function that hides the text entry field until the item is selected.The tooltip option isn't obvious enough. It only appears to work on desktop (not mobile) and only when the user mouses over the text. Ideally, a "tooltip" would display when a user mouses over any portion of the choice item. If I can make the tooltip appear more like this https://osvaldas.info/elegant-css-and-jquery-tooltip-responsive-mobile-friendly, then I would be more comfortable with using tooltip instead.

rondev This is fantastic. However, some of the definitions are longer than the viewable space in the text entry box and the placeholder text does not appear to wrapping. Is there a way to make the text wrap?Also, is it possible to control/modify the formatting (e.g., font color, size, style, etc.) of the placeholder text?I have attached an updated .QSF file for review.Credentialing_Survey-20200618_0812.qsf

Creating a single "survey" for a series of responses from different respondents (ie. approvals)

I'm running into an issue with survey I have built where Qualtrics creates a new response record after I complete the "reviewer" portion of the survey. Has anybody else run into this issue? The retake survey link that I have included in the email follows the same method described in the original post. Is it possible to format a text entry box so responses are formatted based on US dollars

I think I may be running into another issue with the code. In my survey instrument, I have copied the JS on four different questions within the same block. When the form is submitted, a "$" is inserted into the first text box in the same block. Do I need to add something to the JS code differentiate between the four different text boxes? I'm concerned that the "$" that is being placed in the first text box on the block is overwriting any information the user may have already entered into that field. I have attached a .qsf of the survey. Reference the "Organization, Location, Compensation, and Study Details" block for the questions/fields with the JS applied.

In the survey header, I added `<script src="cleave.min.js"></script>` Then in the added the following JavaScript to the question: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function() { /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page is fully displayed*/ new Cleave('.input-1', { numeral: true, prefix: '$' }); });

@Akdashboard, I removed the "Q_R_DEL=1" from the URL, submitted a new survey response, clicked the link in the email to complete the "Career Center Review" block, and it still deleted all data before to the "Career Center Review" block.

@JenCX, The reviewer is seeing the participant's responses in the email that is generated when the participant completes their portion of the survey. It is not necessary to display the participant's responses in the "Career Center Review" block. What I have noticed is that when a reviewer clicks the link that is generated in the email, the data that the participant submitted seems to be deleted from the survey response. It was my understanding that the "&Q_R_DEL=1" portion of the link path would prevent such an occurence, unless I misunderstood something.

@JenCX The link path in the email is: https://bsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2f5zOTSc1HbHmpT?Q_R=${e://Field/ResponseID}&Q_R_DEL=1&Role=Reviewer Ideally, the person clicking on this link would be taken directly to the "Career Center Review" block because I have the email action set to include a response report when the email is sent. However, if the "Reviewer" needs to click/scroll through the entire instrument before getting to the "Career Center Review" block, that is fine, too.

I am trying to create a survey where designated staff in the office have to review and approve a user's submission. However, when a staff clicks on the link (as outlined in steps 2 and 3 from the linked post above), the respondent's data is deleted. I am having difficulty understanding what I need to adjust in my survey flow to ensure that the respondent's information is maintained. I have attached a .qsf file of the survey instrument. Any assistance and advise is greatly appreciated.

@"w.patrick.gale" If I am understanding your suggestion correctly, I would need to create an embedded data element for every possible text item I would want to display? Not sure if that makes sense or not. I was curious if there might be a way to use a if-then statements in JavaScript on each question to update the text label. I'm familiar enough with JavaScript to be able to interpret and understand how the code is working, but not knowledgeable enough to write my own code from scratch. This is basically what I am thinking (pardon the non-technical writing). IF "activity" = "job shadow" THEN "display_text" = "Enter the name of the organization where you shadowed." OR IF "activity" = "performance group" THEN "display_text" = "Enter the name of the performance group."

@"w.patrick.gale", The list of 54 values is one multiple choice question with "Answers" set to "Single Answer" (radio button type). I have display logic set for each answer choice within this list so that any given user will not see more than 9 total answer choices when they take the survey. I have attached a .qsf file with the display logic for answer choices set on some of the items (I'm still working through setting the logic on the others).

The subsequent questions asked based on the selected choice in the first question varies greatly. Also, the export file generated by Loop and Merge creates nearly 1,000 columns of mostly null values. I need to be able to import the data into Excel, quickly manipulate, and prepare to import into another system.
