Trigger survey based on date provided by participant

Hi there,I'm conducting a longitudinal survey where a participant will complete questionnaires at 5 timepoints. I've linked all the surveys together with embedded data.When the participant completes the first survey, their contact details and relevant embedded data are populated into XM Directory. Normally I would then create a workflow to schedule the next survey to be distributed to the respondent x days later, however this won't quite work for what I want to do.Participants are sent a link by their GP practice to take part in the survey - this is approximately one week before they are due to have an appointment with their doctor. As part of this survey, they're asked to provide the date of their upcoming GP appointment (this is done as a text response/content validation question and entered as dd/mm/yyyy).I need for the second survey to be distributed 7 days after the date respondents give in the survey. I've set that response to be an embedded data field within the contact list in

SMS invite links different to Email invite links?

Hi everyone,My organisation has just launched a large survey and we're attempting to maximise our response rate by using both Email and SMS distributions. This has been easy enough, but I've noticed that the survey link generated in the email distributions are different to those in the SMS. Consequently, users receive two separate surveys.In itself this isn't a huge deal, but it will be a problem when we send out reminders to unfinished respondents. Users that will have completed the email survey will still receive a reminder via SMS, and vice versa for SMS completions.Does anybody have a solution so that one single survey link can be sent/tracked, and we can still send reminders to unfinished respondents? I am trying to avoid manually creating updated distributions through checking who has responded.Current solutions I have considered:Adding a personal survey link as embedded data and using that in email/SMS messages (I don't believe this will let us use reminders, as this is no longe

Hello everyone,I am writing my master thesis and the survey is the basis for all the test. I hope you can help me. ExplanationI have created a survey with 5 randomized groups:Germany_NC Germany_EA Spain_ NC Spain_ EA CGThe logic goes like this:If the participant is German and it gets randomly the “Germany_ NC” group, then the participant gets assigned the Question Block “Information provision_Nature Connection_Germany”.The same goes for the others:German Participant + “Germany_EA” group = “Information provision _Eco-Anxiety_Germany” Block. Spanish Participant + “Spain_ NC” group = “Information provision_Nature Connection_Spain” Block. Spanish Participant + “Spain_ EA” group = “Information provision _Eco-Anxiety_Spain” Block. “CG” group = “Information Provision_Control Group” Block. (In this one it does not matter which nationality the participant is, since the content of the block is the same for both nationalities.)I have made trials to check if it works. Randomising gender and scenarios

Hi,I’m trying to create my survey but I’m running into difficulties as it’s a little complicated. There are 6 scenarios but two versions, version one with a male protagonist and version two with a female protagonist, altogether 12 scenarios, but participants will only be shown one version. I want to randomise the order the scenarios are presented to different participants so there is no order effect. The survey must also be randomised by gender, specifically male or female.Example participant is male they will then be randomised into version one (male protagonist) or two (female protagonist) and the order in which the scenarios are randomised.

Linking 3 surveys to send at different dates

Hi I am trying to set up a series of questionnaires for my longitudinal study. The first is live and currently collecting sign-ups for the study. Within this questionnaire respondents are providing a date that I need to use to trigger the dispatch the research study questionnaires (the first questionnaire needs to go out 3 weeks before the date given by respondents, the second questionnaire 4 weeks after the date given and the third questionnaire 4 months after the date given (or 3 months after the response to the second one). I had hoped to do this using a workflow but it seems those can only trigger immediately on set up or a set time based on the response to the questionnaire (which doesn’t work as the date given by respondents is not linked to when they respond to the sign up). I need to be able to follow all these respondents through the questionnaire journey. Any help gratefully received.

Specific Date Email Trigger for Survey

Hi.Users select a date to attend an event using a survey question - so we know the dates on offer.How do I send reminders about the upcoming events, based on date selections? (ie. send a reminder on the 2nd, if the user selected the 3rd).I know how to do email EVENT triggers, but these are dependent on when the survey was completed, not on a date selected in a question. SCHEDULING an email is also not fit-for-purpose as I only want to send a one-off reminder, not daily or weekly, etc. and it doesn't allow conditions (eg. only schedule this email for the 2nd if the user selected the 3rd).Thanks,Linda

Basic Transform Task: Regular Expression to Remove Emoji from Open Text Entry Verbatim

I am working with the basic transform task in a workflow to export survey responses daily. We are using the basic transform tasks Replace function to strip out any emoji from the response and replace with an asterisk *. The replace functionality has a Regular Expression option to find text via regex. I currently have the following expression in my Replace Value transformation. ([\x{2700}-\x{27BF}]|[\x{E000}-\x{F8FF}]|\x{D83C}[\x{DC00}-\x{DFFF}]|\x{D83D}[\x{DC00}-\x{DFFF}]|[\x{2011}-\x{2017}]|[\x{201A}-\x{201B}]|[\x{201E}-\x{26FF}]|\x{D83E}[\x{DD10}-\x{DDFF}]) Most emoji are getting successfully masked, but there are some that are not getting masked. See the emoji below. 💥,👍,🤬,👍,🥰,🥳,🤕 I used Regex101.com to confirm, and it looks like these emoji should be matching the regex we have right now. Anyone dealt with a similar issue or know of a better regex to use for identifying all emoji?

Salesforce App Qualtrics integration issue

Hi everyone,I am facing an issue with the Salesforce Qualtrics integration.Use case:Customer data will be sent to Qualtrics from Salesforce through Salesforce Outbound workflow.Once the response is recorded, the data will be sent back to Salesforce - Response mapping workflow.We would also want to visualize the Qualtrics dashboard in Salesforce- using Salesforce App feature. Issue:As I installed the App in Salesforce to connect Qualtrics, the existing workflow for Outbound message suddenly crashed and now it says that it is unable to connect to the account.We tried troubleshooting the issue, reverting the permissions back to the original ones, still the issue persist. Has anyone come across this issue while enabling the Salesforce App.

Email task that CC multiple emails

Hi Community,I am planning to use Workflow for create custom alert for our team via email task. There’s only 1 receiver that take charge of the case and the others from different department will support it if necessary. They should be kept in a compact email loop to keep track of things.The ideal email should be sent to 1 main receiver and CC to multiple supporters. However, the email task only allows 1 CC email address. We already try to create an email group, but the protocol only let group to be internally.How can I bypass this or create a work around? Any idea would be appreciated.

Qualtrics custom end of survey message not showing

Hi there,I have tried everything to display my custom end of survey messages, however, only the default message keeps showing. I know that this was a topic here before and I tried everything that was recommended.Here you can see my survey flow (I think the second “Then branch” is superflous, I just tried if it makes a difference): We want to run the study with Profilic and without different customized endings it won’t work. So I’m really getting desperate. Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?In the survey directly, I also added one of the customized messages, but it did not make a difference: The language is set to US English everywhere. Move to Blocks after TOC

TL, DR: Need to use TOC function for respondent convenience, but also need blocks after and outside of TOC. How can respondents move on from TOC blocks to other blocks without completing all TOC blocks? Hello. I have a survey that requires embedded data which is limiting the TOC features I can use. So, here’s the big picture: The survey asks different questions for each of 24 different services a respondent might offer. For each service I have an input block where they enter data like how many people served, how much money invested, etc. Then I have an embedded data block calculating variables from that input data (e.g., cost per person, percent of people who reported improvement). We then have an outcomes block where the calculated values are displayed and the individual can indicate it matches their calculations or not. We added the embedded data block to enable us to use the round command in what respondents see, so I would live to avoid pushing all the inputs and calculated outcome

Response in Survey 1 determines questions in surveys 2-6

Hi all! I am creating a longitudinal study that spans 7 days. The day 1 survey will ask some demographics questions, and based on a participants responses to these questions, I would like the following surveys to display specific questions. For example, in survey 1 if a participant states that they have 2 siblings, in surveys 2-6 they should be showed questions about having 2 siblings; if they stated they have 3 siblings, they should be shown questions about having 3 siblings. Thus, I would like to create survey flow/logic based on answers from previous surveys. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Setting up email delivery of surveys

I am trying to set up a qualtrics survey as a way of sending referrals across department committees. In the survey, a committee name would be selected. Final summary PDF is showing original embedded response option and not updated response option

Hi, I am having trouble where the final summary PDF that a respondent can download after completing the survey, is not showing the new responses to questions that were embedded with data from a previous year’s survey. Here is what I’ve done to set up the embedded data.I have a contact list with embedded data which I use to pre-populate multiple choice questions from a previous year’s survey to this year’s survey. Zendesk Ticket Update with Survey Lauch

We're not getting much insight from support into solving our Zendesk use case problem other than "its Zendesk problem" but I have a hard time believing that what we're doing is an edge case. We are using the workflow template but the final task isn't letting us update a ticket if we are not updating fields that are required on the ticket itself. The fields that cause the error are fields are required to close, therefore are populated before our distribution trigger kicks-off. They are also dropdowns in Zendesk but the task doesn’t let us just pipe the selection that came in with the task back to the case to update the field we want to. We’re just trying to add a tag that a survey was sent so we don’t erroneously send surveys if the ticket is reopened or updated in Zendesk after the survey is distributed. Has anyone else seen this or found ways to accomplish this with the Zendesk extension. I suspect we’ll have the same issue when we try to send the satisfaction score back to the case a

Just noticed that when doing Salesforce integration via the new Workflow setup, in the list of the integrated SF accounts all of them (sandbox and production ones) have “(migrated)” in the end. What does it mean?

Text formatting in Salesforce workflow

Hi,We are automatically creating a task and assigning it to a person in SF based on certain criteria. We would like to created a nice looking text with paragraphs in the SF Task Description field. However, it seems like the Qualtrics Workflow only allows text as a line without breaks etc. Anyone knows how to get around it?

Set survey duration as condition in workflow

Hi there! I’m creating a workflow where survey respondents will be sent an email after finishing the survey. I want to send the email to those satisfy a condition of survey duration (e.g., >600 seconds), in addition to a series of validation questions. However, in Qualtrics workflow, there does not seem to be field about duration, unlike in the survey dataset. Can anyone here provide suggestions on how to deal with this? Thanks in advance.

Text iQ Topics visible in Ticket Information

Hello Community, We have the typical Ticketing system based on text analytics, and I’m trying to use the Text iQ Topics identified in the responses as visible information in the Tickets but i couldnt find a way. Is it possible?Another solution could be make Workflows exclusive (idk if this is possible too), because we have 7 workflows, one for each topic but when the response has more than one topic associated we dont want to trigger more than one Ticket. Ticketing Logic Not Working, Creating Duplicates - Need Help!

I am trying to route tickets based on their contact reason. Specifically, when customers indicate Claims to our claims team, and all other tickets when customers indicate reasons other than claims. I created two workflows, but for some reason they both seem to be running and creating tickets, basically ignoring my logic. Does anyone have any insights? I copied and modified the workflow, adjusting that specific logic. Is my nesting off or something? See pics.

Send summary of responses on a specific date

I'm trying to develop an anoymous survey that my respondents may complete anytime between Friday-Thursday. I then want everyone who responded to receive a summary of the responses the next Friday. For instance, the survey would be released on Friday, April 29. Respondents would have until Thursday, April 6 to complete it. Then, on April 7, everyone who completed the survey would receive a summary of their responses. I tried email workflows triggered by their submission, but that only allows me to send the email after a specific time frame has elapsed; that would mean everyone would get their summary at a different time. I tried emails based on a time-based workflow, but that doesn't allow me to pipe in text from the survey responses. Is this possible?

difficulty selecting specific questions using the 'extract response from survey' task

Hi All, I’m trying to use this task to setup a scheduled export (which will be sent to a SFTP server). I need to use this task ('extract response from survey) as I believe it’s the only one that will allow to use a preset response filter. My problem is that when I go to select the questions, they show up as the question text and not the Question number or label. This makes it near impossible to ensure you select the correct questions as some of the question text we use is generic (eg. we have a number of questions following a CSAT multiple choice question which states ‘please explain why?’). What is the solution to this? Is there a way to show the questions (or even QID numbers in this list) so that I can be sure I select the correct questions to export? Relying on the order is probably not advisable given the window is so small. In my example below the two questions cannot be identified without making sure the question text is unique which realistically we can’t do in the survey
