That makes sense, but I didn't set any extra qualifications for any of the conditions (at least as far as I know/can tell)--participants in each condition are just shown slightly different material before being directed to a set of questions. Conditions 2 and 3 are required to do a bit more reading than Condition 1, so it's possible, I guess, that it just has a higher dropout rate. That would make sense. Nonetheless, I'll check whether there's something else wrong. Mostly, I wanted to make sure my understanding of counts was correct, and it sounds like it was! Thanks--now I can get more participants just for the conditions I still need more of!
It does seem as though C2 was abandoned at a higher rate, though not at the stage at which the conditions differ, so I'm not sure why that would be. The count indicates equal presentation to participants. One thing I'm worried about is that the survey timers might be glitching on participants, particularly those in C2--I have timers set so that people have to stay on certain pages for a certain amount of time to watch videos. It generally seems to be working fine, but once or twice, during previews, it hit a snag, leaving me unable to move forward even after enough time had elapsed. Have you ever encountered that? Regardless, thanks for your help. I'm really hoping to find some concrete difference in the survey setup that could explain this--something I could fix--but I guess it could be chance at this stage. If anyone thinks they'd know what to look for in terms of survey design, I'd be happy to send over a more detailed copy of what I've got.
Okay, it makes sense now--thanks!
Ahh, yeah, they actually are grouped already (you actually helped me with that awhile back!). Nonetheless, when I add the condition embedded data beneath each group, it begins directing participants away from the survey to an end page before sorting them into groups.
Hi! Where in the survey flow should I add the embedded data? I tried adding it below each condition, and that somehow messed up the survey flow generally--it made it so that sometimes, instead of directing me to one of the groups, it just booted me to the exit page when I completed the question before the group branching.I should also note that my conditions have branches within them, depending on participant answers, so they aren't neatly contained in single blocks. Maybe that's causing some trouble?
Thanks! Using HTML view instead worked.
(The above are in the wrong order--sorry about that!)
Sure! They still might be too slow, but it's worth a shot. If not, I could also share the survey by adding in your email address, if you'd be willing to look at it that way. I'm just sort of desperate to get this working--I'm only putting this online in the first place because of COVID, and it's basically my only shot at graduating on time :# Thanks again!
Sure--they're attached. Sorry it's long/stretched out across multiple images, but it's the best I could do, even with the screen size reduced. ! ! ! !
