HiI would like a drill down where the first option impacts the next two options, instead of the section option impacting the third. My example for this is I would like the drill down to be State:County:City:However, my cities don't fit neatly into the counties, instead I would like the user to select a state and then have to pick their city and county in the state. Is there a way to do this without having two separate drill down questions. I believe I can do this with a massive CSV file where every County no matter what leads to the same set of cities, but is there another way? Thanks!Shira
Hello!I have a two block survey:Block 1: a set of standard questionsBlock 2: question 1: a drop down list of various types of events, and the rest of the questions in the block are standard. The survey then takes various scores (some from block 1 and some from block 2) to produce a final score. The answers to the questions in block 1 are always the same (aka the user only needs to fill out this block ONCE) whereas the answers to block 2, will depend on the event (in question 1) they choose to fill out. (scoring is the same for all questions regardless of event). Right now the end message is the results of the survey and is as followsChosen event: score 1, score 2 What I would like to happen is for the user to fill out block 1, and then block 2 (picking an event) and being able to see the results, and then be directed back to block 2, select a different event and answer the questions and then be able to see the results with that new event added. Where the results would be additive and
Hello!I have a set of embedded data values: A, B, C, D, EEach value is a math equation that outputs a number based on multiplying recode values of questions in the surveyA,B, C, D, and E each have the option of being 1, 2 ,3 4, 5 or 6. What I would like to do is have a 6th embedded data value that is the maximum value for A, B, C, D, Efor example ifA=4B=1C=0D=5E=5The final value would be 5.Is there an easy way to do this with embedded data? Thanks!
I have 4 questions in a survey - 1, 1.1, 1.2, and 2 - is yes/no 1.1 and 1.2 are multiple choice with 5 options and the recode values are 1, 2, 3, 4, 52 . is yes no Skip logic: if no is selected for question 1, it skips to question 2. If yes is selected, it goes to 1. 1 and 1.2The recode values are used to produce a score. My problem is, if No is selected for question 1 (and 1.1 and 1.2 are skipped) I would like the recode values for 1.1 and 1.2 to automatically be set to "1" - instead of skipping and being zero. (and if "yes" is selected they get to choose between the multiple choice options). Is it possible to do this without JavaScript.... and if not what would the JS be and where would I put it -- thanks!Basically - if "no" is selected for 1, i would like the answers for 1.1 and 1.2 to be automatically set to option 1 (where the recode value is one), but i would not like these questions to be shown to the user. (even though the answers would be used in the scoring)
Hello!I have a question about the .qsf file that is created when a Qualtrics survey is exported. When a survey is exported the .qsf file contains all the information regarding the questions, flow ,skip logic etc....However, I noticed that when a survey contains reference surveys or reference blocks, those items are simply shown by a library ID and reference ID, the questions themselves are not in the .qsf file. Does this mean if I tried to upload the survey to a qualtrics platform that didn't have a reference library it would not be able to read my survey? Is there a way to access the question information from right within the .qsf file? Or is there a way I can export the reference survey /block straight from the library so I will have one .qsf file with the survey flow and another with the question information from the library.Thank yo!
