I have a matrix table question (matrix type: likert, answer type: drag and drop) where users sort items into two answer buckets.I would like to display custom messages depending on what items they’ve sorted and how they’ve sorted them. I am currently accomplishing most of what I want using additional questions and display logic. However, this method feels clunky to me and I would like to be able to detect their sorting using an event listener. I apologize if this is too vague. Does anyone have an idea of how to do something like this?
Hi, I have a bunch of questions on a page and I would like to auto-advance participants after 30 minutes using a timing question. However, I would also like to request response if they try to advance before the time limit is up.Is there any way to set up conditional response requirements?
I created a javascript timer that prints to the console every time 10 seconds have elapsed and then added clearInterval(); on page unload. However, when I click the next button, I just get an error and the timer continues to print to the console after I've left the page.Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page is fully displayed*/ var sec = 0; var myInterval = setInterval(displayTime, 10000) function displayTime() { sec = sec + 10; console.log(sec, 'seconds have elapsed'); }});Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnUnload(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page is unloaded*/ clearInterval(myInterval);});And here's a picture of my error:It seems as though the interval ID is not being recognized.
I like the buttons in the profile display mode, but I'm wondering if there's a way to show the statement text above the buttons instead of to the side?I'm trying to achieve something that looks like this without having to make them all a separate multiple choice question:
I have some timed questions on a survey and I'd like to show the timer, but the look of the default timer in qualtrics seems visually distracting. I'm hoping for something more subtle (e.g. simple light gray numerals on a white background). Is there a way to change the look of the timer?
I have some timed questions set up for a problem solving task in qualtrics. We want the questions to be time-limited, but it is also important to get some sort of answer. Right now, I have the timer auto-advancing after 2 minutes as well as the "force answer" option selected, so when the time is up, the page reloads and participants are prompted to answer. Here are my questions:In the data, will I get timing information for each page load (e.g. if someone spends the full 2 minutes and then another 40 sec after the "force answer" prompt loads, will I see both of those times?)As I understand it, each time the page loads, the timer restarts. So theoretically, a participant could spend an unlimited amount of time on each question. Is there a way to put a cap on the number of times the page will reload? After a certain point, can we just auto-advance them even if they don't submit an answer?
I am putting together a survey which requires participants to listen to a 20 minute audio file (uploaded as MP3) on their mobile phone. On some phones, the entire audio file plays just fine (iPhone 11) but on others, the audio stops a few minutes after the screen goes to sleep (iPhone 7, Pixel 3).I am wondering if anyone has any idea how to circumvent this. I imagine it has something to do with the audio file being embedded in a web page vs. playing in a media player. Thanks in advance for your help!
