Hi there,So my question is the following:I have two lists of occupations using embedded data, each list consists of 10 occupation titles, and every time Qualtrics will draw one random occupation from each list. So, my question is how can I repeat this operation another 4-5 times and each time a new occupation title is drawn from each list? I have tried the loop & merge feature, but I do not think it could achieve what I have in mind. Because pairs in loop & merge were fixed, I will not be able to randomize the two presented occupations. I’m wondering do you have any other suggestions on how to achieve this? Thanks in advance!
Hi all, I’m setting up an online experiment and using embedded data as a randomizer. What I’m trying to do is that I have a list of 8 portrait pictures and I want my participant to randomly view two pictures and then pick one they want to interact with later. So now I have entered these pictures as 2 lists of embedded data, and every entry will randomly draw a picture from each list. However, since the pictures are the same, there is going to be a case where participants view two identical portrait pictures (see attached). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid this? If so, could you please advise me on how to achieve it?
Hi, I'm trying to design a two-stage game theory related survey question. So in the first stage, I used loop & merge to randomly present 1 portrait picture out of 8 photos (Showed as last two screenshots). But in the second stage, I would like to match the picture presented in the first stage, for example if in the first stage, No. 1 has been presented, then I would also like No.1 picture to be presented in the second stage. I know branch if function could do it, but I have 8 picture in total, and 10 available decisions in the first stage, in this case I would have to add 80 additional blocks in the second stage, and 10 blocks for each photo. Therefore, I'm wondering is there any possible way to simplify this operation?
