How can I avoid that a hidden next button still briefly flashes when a page transition occurs? The Problem ! On a different note: another problem is that the layout of the whole page changes for a millisecond when clicking the button... this is really weird. To hide the next button, I use the code to hide the next button recommended here: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function() { $('NextButton').hide(); } I think this must be a standard problem, but could not find a solution here or on google (any hints welcome). Thanks a lot!
Hi everyone, I have a loop repeating n questions in random order for t times. The questions contain references to embedded fields. The embedded fields need to be changed in each iteration of the loop. The fields are not pre-populated. I use javascript in addOnload() to change the embedded field data. What happens is that in the first iteration of the loop the embedded fields are not set. In the second iteration the fields are set. It seems that addOnload() executes the setting of the embedded data only after the page loads (?). Pseudocode to illustrate For (t in times) { set embedded data field of question n_i display question n_i set embedded data field of question n_i + 1 display question n_1 + 1 ... } I cannot pre-populate the fields. I tried hiding the first loop iteration and using t+1 loop iterations, but this does not execude the code in iteratio no 1. Any recommendations? I am happy to use javascript directly without the embedde
Hi all, I have a delayed question appearing after a timeout. Participants need to answer it correctly, if not qualtrics validates with the inbuilt validation. The challenge: on failed validation, the page reloads, executing the onload jquery code again --> The delayed question is delayed again. Instead it should condition the delay to be executed only the first time the page loads: my approach: if the error msg is not shown, set delay = 0. I tried checking the css property of the ValidationError like so `if ( jQuery(".ValidationError").css("display") == "none" ) { ... }` but this doesn't work. How to check if the validation failed? Thanks, Jana
Hey there, If you have 10 options (say products) and you want respondents to * pick 1/10 * answer a question about what they picked * pick 1/9 * answer a question about what they picked * pick 1/8 * answer a question about what they picked * . * . * . * pick 1/1 * answer a question about what they picked How would you achieve this? I can achieve the first two steps (pick 1 of 10 -> answer a follow up question) with a loop and merge. But how to loop over loop and merges? Thanks a lot, cheers Jana
Hey ladies and gents, I read jquery works in Qualtrics. I tried to use the fadeIn() function but the survey complains that fadeIn() is not a function. I tried adding the jquery min to the header to correct for that in some jquery versions fadeIn() is not included, but this results in some other bunch of errors. Could you help me out? Cheers Jana
