Hello,I have a situation where respondents can select multiple responses to Q1 (a list that could have up to 100 possible options). I then want to narrow the selected list down to 5 random options and assign these 5 responses to some embedded variables, for later use. Hello, I have a rather elaborate and specific issue that I am trying to resolve, and would appreciate any guidance that I can get on how I could implement this task (or if it’s even possible). The situation is that I have a survey in which I want to ask respondents how many of a range of products they have bought, then later ask them a series of questions on a limited number of those items.For example, I have a slider question, at which I ask people how many of each of 4 possible products they have bought. The scale goes from 0 to 10, so there could be a maximum of 40 total products bought.Later in the survey, there will then be a looped block, where I want to ask about a maximum of 5 of the possible 40 products (to limit the length of the survey). i.e. the block will ask where they bough each item, how much it cost, etc.In order to go from the item slider question to the block loop, I need to extrapolate out the slider into the total number of items they have bought…e.g. say they had
Hello,I was hoping that I could get some help modifying some JS, so that it can work within a ‘Loop & Merge’ block.The script below works for a standard question, where the response from QID1 is used to determine which options will be hidden.I am now wanting to embed these two questions within a looped block (i.e. using ‘Loop & Merge’), but have run into the problem where the initial reference to the selection from QID1 is no longer working, as there is now a loop count being applied to the question ID. Accordingly, I need to find a way to append the loop number to the reference of QID1, so that this code always applies to the question that directly preceded it (i.e. the one that is in the same loop). Hello, Hopefully this is a fairly simple query.The background is that I have a question inside a block loop. I want to set up some javascript that will hide select options in that question depending on which particular loop is being shown.In the below example, the block will loop through ‘Category1’, ‘Category2’ & ‘Category3’, and when the ‘Field1’ output of the loop is equal to ‘Category2’, I want to hide options 1 & 3 of this question. I have used the section that hides the options on other scripts, but I am unsure how to adjust it to take the input from the block loop (rather than a normal question). Can anyone shed some light on the right formatting required? Thanks. Hello, I currently have a conditional script that checks if “Yes” was selected at QID1. Could anyone advise how to rewrite the script to instead check for the value of ‘1’ (where 1=Yes)?i.e. change...if ("${q://QID1/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices}" === "Yes") to something like...if ("${q://QID1/ChoiceGroup/SelectedValue}" === ‘1’) Just don’t know what the right reference would be.Thanks
Hello,I am just getting started with JS and was hoping I could get some guidance on writing some script.In this scenario, I have two questions, both have the same response options. The first is a multichoice format, and the second is singlechoice. I want to add some code to the second question, such that if only one option was selected at Q1, then that response will be autoselected at Q2 (e.g. Q1=’What brands of car are you considering’ & Q2=’What is your most preferred brand’. If they only have one brand in the initial list, then that has to be the answer to Q2 as well).This is the current code that I have loading on Q2, but it doesn’t correctly select the response from Q1. Hello,Could anyone help me with the JS syntax for selecting an option based on it’s name/label, rather than it’s value?e.g. if option 1 has the value of 1 and the label ‘Brand1’, the below script correctly selects option 1, using the value=1 reference. this.setChoiceValueByRecodeValue(1, true); But how do I rewrite it to instead reference ‘Brand1’? I tried using this code, but it doesn’t seem to work…this.setChoiceValueByLabel('Brand1', true); Is there something that I am missing here? Thanks.
