Dear Community, in my survey I am going to present a total of 100 different acoustic stimuli (recorded as short wav files) and ask the participants to evaluate them pairwise (which sound do you prefer: A or B?; then repeat this question with a different pair of stimuli). The issue is that these sounds come from three distinctive groups and each group has a different amount of stimuli (e.g. 25, 35 and 40). For every trial I would like Qualtrics to randomly pick out one sound from one of the three groups and one sound from a different group. After e.g. 30 trials, each group must have appeared equal amount of times with its stimuli (in this case 20 stimuli of each group). Is there any way to do it? I would really appreciate your help! I could actually generate a block of 100 questions and randomise them. But the issue is that I'd like to present two randomly chosen files in one question. The second problem is that the pair must consist of sounds from different groups. Thanks a lot in ad
Hi! In my survey I ask participants to rate several sounds on a scale using a slider. But I want that the slider (and in the best case also the next button) only appears after the sound has been played back for ~1.5 sec. Is there a way to do it?For the play button I use the following code:Please play back the sound and rate it according to the scale:<audio id="myAudio1"><source src="https://MyURL"type='audio/wav'></audio><button onclick="aud_play_pause1()" type="button">PLAY</button><script>function aud_play_pause1() { var myAudio1 = document.getElementById("myAudio1"); if (myAudio1.paused) { myAudio1.play(); } else { myAudio1.pause();myAudio1.currentTime = 0; }}</script>So the condition should be like <if myAudio1.currentTime == 1.5>. Sorry, I am not familiar with JavaScript. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi! For some reasons I would like to show my question ID in the header (in very small characters below the question and less remarkable to the participants). I tried to do it by inserting a Piped Text in the Header section of Look&Feel but could not find the according field name for the question ID. Is there any way to do it? Many thanks!
Dear Community, in my survey I am going to present audio stimuli from a pool of about 100 stimuli. The participants will get two different and randomly chosen sounds from this pool and answer three questions (which do they like more etc.). In the next turn they will be asked the same questions with a different pair of sounds and so on. In total, I need about 50 repetitions of the same block of three questions, and for every answer I'd like to record which sound they preferred and which not (there is an embedded data field like "file name"). Is there any elegant way to do a loop with this block without duplicating the block for each trial and without changing the name of the embedded data manually (File Name Trial_1, File Name Trial_2 ... until Trial_50)? The problem is that I can't imagine how a loop can work with the randomizer. The whole experiment is described here more in detail: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/3089/how-to-present-stimuli-files-randomly-to-partici
Dear Community! I wonder if it's possible to embed a RGB/HSV color picker as a question. In my survey the participants shall be asked to pick a color from a palette and the value (or at least the HEX codes) of the selected colour shall be saved. It is my first survey, I am really not experienced in these kinds of things. I would appreciate your help very much! Thanks!
