Dear Community, I want to show participants a binary multiple choice question. If they choose option A, I want them to see 1 of 4 possible 'outcomes' - if they choose Option B I want them to see only 1 outcome. I want the participant to do this 5 times in total. I want to record a data point for: what the participant choose (A/B) each time in the root question and what they are shown as a result each time. Is there a way to do this without creating multiple blocks/randomizers that ends up in a messy survey flow? I have a feeling it is a combination of embedded data/display logic but I am struggling to figure it out. Any help would be most appreciated.
Hi all, I am currently working to develop a modified version of the stroop task in the survey platform. Participants are shown a word in a color (e.g. Blue in the color red) and are instructed to indicate the color of the word, rather than the word itself (e.g. red would be the correct answer). I have created a unique block for all possible iterations of color/word combinations and put them within the survey flow under a randomizing branch with evenly presenting elements. However, I want more than just 16 trials (4wordsx4colors) and would like them to repeat multiple times. Rather than creating blocks over and over again, I was using the duplicate button in the survey flow - however, when you take the survey and shown BlockX the first time, and answer "red" and then BlockX the second time, and answer "yellow" - only the most recent iteration of that answer is recorded in the data. What I would like to know is the answer a participant put each time they were shown that block - is thi
I am running a matched survey in which participants will be in one of two conditions (using randomizer in survey flow). How can I make sure I have the appropriate amount of participants in each condition, but still have them randomly assigned? Essentially, a quota/randomizer combination.
I have four scenarios (A, B, C, and D) that participants will read and then answer some questions on. All four scenarios have the same amount of questions. At two different points in the survey I would like to present a scenario and half of its questions (e.g. A.1) and at another point of the survey I would like to present the others (A.2). I would like a random presentation of the initial scenario/items so that a participants will get a random order (e.g. D.1, B.1, A.1, C.1). However, in the second set of scenarios/items, I would like this to match the random presentation order of the first items (e.g. D.2, B.2, A.2, C.2). Is this possible?
I am currently working on a research project in which participants must type an small paragraph (minimum of 400 characters including spaces) without using certain letters (e.g. you cannot use the letter C, therefore you cannot use any word that has the letter C in it). Participants must type a minimum of 400 characters before the page will allow them to submit (custom validation). However, as this is a paid survey, and participants might become frustrated/fatigued over time if they cannot meet the minimum threshold of characters, I am concerned they will drop out early and not finish the survey. A solution (in my mind) would be to incorporate the timing feature to autoadvance all participants after four minutes of trying the exercise. I wouldn't want to prime participants to sit and wait for the page to advance rather than doing the exercise, therefore I would not tell them the page would advance. However, IF the page did advance, I would need to tell participants what happened. Tha
