Is it possible to hide some lines of text appearing in a survey footer for the first 3 pages of the survey only?
There doesn't appear to be an option to assign statements in a side-by-side matrix to groups (as there is for a standard matrix question). As a work around, I used the rich text editor to add the group label directly into the first statement in the group. The problem is that Qualtrics vertically aligns the rows to the middle so now the response boxes appear higher than I would like them for that top row. Ideas for JS that would push that down? Or other known fixes? Thank you!
I have a side-by-side matrix collecting contact information for up to 10 people. To minimize space, I'd like to set up the matrix to initially show just the first row or 2 and have a button below the table that they can click to "Add another contact" which will display the next empty row of the matrix only when clicked (up to 10 times). I assume this possible with JS, but I'm not sure exactly how. Has anyone done this before?
I am hiding some blocks in our survey with the following code placed in the survey header:jQuery("#FL_55").hide();But blocks with Loop&Merge do not hide with this code. Is there a solution for that?
I have a radio button type Rank Order question with 5 items. However, we only want/need the respondents to rank their top 3 of 5 choices. How can I hide the label and radio buttons for 4 and 5? THANKS! !
Is there a way to disable the Signature question that has already been signed? Use case is a retake link scenario where the question will be visible again but we do not want it to be active. I tried changing the attribute to readonly or disabled, but perhaps I am not properly referring to the element ID. Or maybe there's another way? Thank you!
I've got a side-by-side single statement question with a text entry box and 2 mutually exclusive checkboxes. I've got custom validation in place that prevents a respondent from entering a value AND selecting a response. What I'd really like is to write some custom code where if someone enters a value, the boxes are automatically unchecked. And if someone checks a box, any value already entered is cleared. I've already got code (below) that makes the 2 boxes mutually exclusive, and it seems like it would be simple enough extension of this if I understood jquery better, but I don't know what commands to use. I found a thread which allows me to disable the checkmarks in the Table of Contents sidebar (https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/comment/10711#Comment_10711). However, even when the checkmarks are disabled, if a respondent clicks through an entire block without answering any questions, the TOC headings are still grayed out in the sidebar as if the block is complete. So then, when navigating through the survey with the next button, it is skipping those blocks of the TOC that it considers to be "completed" sections (even if none of the questions are answered). I don't want to make the questions required, I'm just trying to prevent it from looking like they are done when they are not and then deciding which questions/blocks to skip. Is there some code or a setting I'm not aware of that will prevent Qualtrics from thinking a block is complete just because all the pages have been viewed? Thanks!
I have a 20 row matrix with 3 scale points (Yes/No,Don't know). The final row in the matrix is an 'Other' row. I would like to force users to select a Y/N/DK response for every row except 'Other' if that row does not apply to them. Using the native 'Force response' would require them to respond to the 'Other' row so I'm trying to use custom validation. I'd like to use a math operation to ensure that the sum of Yes (Count)+No (Count)+DK (Count) must equal 19. I can use these counts within the custom validation menu, but I am not sure how to reference these counts within a math operation. Can someone help with this? Or am I missing another obvious way to do this easily? Thank you!
Is it possible to remove the alternate row shading on an individual matrix question within a survey, but leave it for others?
I have a series of 8 essay text entry questions. I'd like for this series to appear like an accordion, where the headings always show and the text boxes are hidden but show/hide again by clicking the down arrow. If I make the heading (question text) into a button, can I use the question element id in a function to show/hide just the text entry box onclick? !

I have some bolded key terms in some response options. At the end of the survey, I have a summary of responses that is populated using piped data. Here, I do not need those key terms to be in bold but the piped response brings the formatting with it. Is there a way to override this? For different reasons, I can not embed data or add branching midsurvey. I've tried overriding it by enclosing it in a <div font-weight="normal"> tag but no luck there. Other ideas?
