I have a matrix table to which I'm piping in responses from several prior multiple choice (single response) questions. When a person answers anything other than "I don't know" to the prior questions, it works fine. However, when the person answers "I don't know" to any of those questions, I do not want the "I don't know" as a row to which the person can respond in the matrix table. In other words, I want the matrix table to only show rows for those questions to which a person did not give an "I don't know" answer. (So the number of rows will vary depending on the number of the person's "I don't know" answers to the prior questions.) I tried using display logic on the rows so that the rows would only display when "I don't know" was not selected, and this did hide the wording "I don't know," but the problem is that it did not hide the row itself so that now the row itself with the radio buttons is still there but it has no wording associated with it. How can I get rid of the whole row, i
I asked this here https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/5376/javascript-display-logic-for-matrix-table-hide-row-conditional-on-answer-being-piped-in#latest but I think I should've probably started a new question since it's tacked onto a prior thread. I'm trying to set my embedded data as the selected choices from prior questions (e.g., country1 = ${q://QID73/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices}, etc.) and then use those embedded data as piped in choices to a new question. However, it's not working: when I preview, the answer choices to the new question all come up blank. Here are the steps I'm taking: 1) Created country1 through country9 as 9 embedded data variables in survey flow, each with a value that has been defined as a selected choice from a prior question (e.g., country1 = ${q://QID73/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices}, etc. 2) Put the green embedded data block from the survey flow prior to the block that contains the question into which I need to pipe the embedded data choices
I have an Excel file setup with two columns. Column A, countries, Column B, their associated demonyms, 1 per 1. What I want to do is ask questions about which country a person is born in, then their current country of residence, citizenship, etc. On a subsequent question, I would like to ask them for their agreement on a Likert scale ("I am [demonym]"). I want to show the demonym associated with each of the countries the respondent chooses. For example, if someone says they were born in Mexico but currently live in the US and are an American citizen, I want to ask them in a Matrix style question "I am [Mexican]" and "I am [American]." I know how to do this via display logic: I would say "Display Mexican if Mexico is selected for place of birth, place of current residence, or place of citizenship," and I would do the same for "American." The problem is, I have over 190 countries so this is a lot of display logic to add for each demonym response choice. How can I link the countries to th
