A 'Gotcha' in Caching that I want to share!

While doing custom development, I was running into an issue where my CSS and JS wasn't always updating in my anonymous testing link survey. A short phone call with Qualtrics Support pointed out a few ways to speed up the development process that I want to share! This might be obvious to some, but it cost me time, and I don't want the same to happen to you: 1) When doing custom code, make sure that the following option is turned OFF: ! (This is the one I missed) This, when enabled, allows users to return to the last survey they were in, and unbeknownst to me, also includes the code from that last attempt. Disabling this gives them a fresh copy of the survey, with a new default state and the *new code*, every time. 2) Make sure that you're doing a hard refresh in between taking the surveys. Testing interest:

A lot of my projects involve Custom End of Survey Messages, but will be doing custom emails, and Piped Text Input in styled/HTML Survey Blocks. One of my biggest bottlenecks is the Qualtrics IDE (It is excellent, but I enjoy working on my own, local IDE, Visual Studio Code). Another bottleneck I face is Piped Text Token (i.e. `${e://Field//Total}`). When I run code in my local IDE, and have a Chart.js that takes in an array of embedded fields, in have to swap them in and out to test it locally and then post the code in Qualtrics. I, today, started developing a Transpiler of sorts, as an NPM Package. Copies your code with Piped Text Tokens, and replaces them with sample data. I wanted to get a feel for if you guys would like a copy, or if there is interest so I could package it up and serve it publicly. A Common Question from Customers: Can you repeat a question until a respondent is finished?

The Customer's Request I have a customer who is doing a survey which requires the respondent to fill out a block multiple times for different products. My customer asked if I could put a block on repeat, and when they're finished, it would break the cycle flow and exit the survey. Note, this isn't a 'Loop and Merge' scenario - no input changes the survey block - it's the same every time. Solution Overview I opted for a solution where there are Batch Ids and the surveyor (an employee of the company - so there would be a level of instruction) would take the survey repeatedly, but in batches. Here was my solution: I am MORE than open to suggestions! (Preface, this is a solution that I am still working on, and it may have kinks. I make sure that I state my confidence level before posting something that might not be correct, and this is one of those times that I admit that there may be a better way.)
