How do you make a field required through JS? I have multi-select question where the option "Other" presents a text field (of the same question). I'd like to make that field required and use a custom message. Qualtrics has the "Custom Validation" field, which I can use to target that specifically, however, it's a lot more work if I have to conditionally choose every possible selection to validate vs. target directly through JS.
I have a form that looks like thisI'd like to insert a checkbox under Phone that reads "Opt-in to receive text messages". Any help how this could be achieved would be appreciated.
I'm using cleave.js for date formatting, but I need to set date parameters through JS to limit how far back is an acceptable date in addition to not letting a user select a date that's beyond today. I can type in 11/11/1111 or 11/11/2050. This is similar to a validation question I have here, but rather focuses on date parameters: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/12347/date-formatting-min-length#latest
I'm using Cleave.js to format date fields as such: MM/DD/YYYY or MM/YYYY or YYYY. However, I can go in and type 06/23/20 vs. 06/23/2020 or type in 1 number for YYYY to pass validation. How can I program a min length count without using Qualtrics Minimum Length feature. I'd also rather validation say "Please use the following format MM/DD/YYYY" vs. "Please use 10 characters". Thoughts?
