In preview mode (e.g., selecting “send a preview email” for email distributions, the linked survey requires the user to log in using their Qualtrics account. While it’s easy to create a test list to send the final survey to testers, it would be clearer for this particular use case for a preview email to provide the same user experience as a participant accessing the survey through an email link.
This ability is important for our use case because as a US federal agency, we need to be confident that the experience respondents have with our surveys leaves them completely confident that we are who we say we are. If there are any issues involving the transition from the email request to the survey, this can create serious authenticity concerns so testing is paramount.
Additionally, it would be valuable to be able to add hyperlinks, if technically possible, to link to unique survey links rather than providing a long URL Long URLs with seemingly random parameters can also create uncertainty among respondents about the authenticity of the email.
