Summary: I would like Qualtrics to change the collaboration feature so that surveys can only be shared with trusted email addresses rather than anyone in the world. This would reduce security risks and help with data protection law compliance significantly. Do you agree?
The collaboration feature in Qualtrics survey platform is very useful when you are working on the same survey with people from two different organisations. For example, getting research services from a supplier but wanting to use your own company’s instance of Qualtrics.
But there is a security flaw in that Qualtrics users in your organisation can invite anyone in the world to access one of your surveys by entering any kind of email address. Careless or rogue staff can cause major data breaches at the click of a button.
Many other online platforms have a feature where trusted email domains can be added to a whitelist so that only email addresses like name.surname@trusted-domain1.com are allowed access. You don’t need to add all the individual email addresses, just the part after the @ symbol.
I would really like this to be added to Qualtrics XM. It would make Qualtrics a much safer product to use and is unlikely to take a significant amount of development time. A quick-win.
What does everyone else think? Thank you.
