I'm also having a lot of trouble for this. Both Qualtrics' own analysis tools, as well as exporting to a spreadsheet make it extremely hard (if not impossible) to analyze Loop & Merge data :(
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/42042#Comment_42042The problem is that then they can't go back, and I don't want to disable that just for my convenience :/
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/41403#Comment_41403That worked beautifully, thank you so much!!
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/41400#Comment_41400It's a matrix table. In your tests, you are not using a matrix table, but a simple multiple choice question. Let's suppose we have columns A, B, C, and D. I only want to loop over options where the user selected A. Even if the user selected B, C, or D, they are still "selected" and will be looped over if I use "Selected choices: Entered text". Whereas right now I use "Selected choices: A" and it works (except the problem I described).
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/41398#Comment_41398I’m looping over a matrix table, and want to loop over only the options for which the first column is selected. If I select to loop over Selected Choices: Entered text, won't that loop over all of them?
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/41392#Comment_41392Indeed, but modify it to what? The GUI seems to only offer that option for Loop & Merge (whereas there is "Entered text" for other kinds of piped text).
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/38731#Comment_38731OMG thank you so much!! This looks like exactly what I need!!
My question isn't about how to use display logic to toggle blocks, I know how to do that. I was asking how I can generate the blocks/questions so that a) I don't need to repetitively create dozens of identical blocks that are only different by 1 word, and b) so that the questions pertaining to any freeform entry options actually display the option entered. For example (not my actual use case, but similar enough), assume you have a multiple choice list of applications the recipient is asked about whether they use. For each of those that they checked as apps they use, you want to ask them how long they've been using it for, and how often.
