I routinely use the process described by Akdashboard. In the final block I add a text/graphic question with instructions to click the submit button to complete the survey, and change the next button text to submit. I feel this should be routine, and I am surprised it is not built into Qualtrics somehow. It puzzles me that the satisfaction follow up surveys from Qualtrics have the graphical arrow icons and often you click the next arrow and the next thing you know the survey is closed and your response is recorded.
In my opinion this feature with the survey expiration setting in the Advanced Options should be more prominent, and there could be a mechanism to require confirmation of the setting before the invitations are sent. When I first started using Qualtrics I did not even know this setting or these advanced options existed. It is too easy to overlook. I only discovered this when it was too late and I was unable to send a reminder since the expiration date had passed. In those instances the solution was to creat a new contact list based on the distribution history of the original contact list. I have seen this happen more than once.

Hi folks, I'm John, an analyst at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Go Owls! Spent about 17 years in higher ed. here in Florida but I'm an an Illinois native, with experience in not for profit health care organizations as well. Been working with Qualtrics quite a while, for student & staff opinion surveys and 360 evaluations. Looking for some insights to be able to do things in the newer reports which I am used to doing in Classic Reports.
