Hello, We want to implement an age check in a survey, where we first ask for the respondents' age in years, then for their date of birth, and if the two are off by more than one year, the survey should end for them. Any ideas how to achieve this? I guess my question is, how do I code to calculate the age from their dob and then store it in embedded data, so I can branch to an end message if the embedded data and the age do not match. We have set up the age question as a simple text entry, and the dob survey like this:Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ //Set years you would like to have available var yearFirst = 1958; //Min 1900 var yearLast = 2004; //Max 2049 //This all remains unchanged var qid=this.questionId; var mo=document.getElementsByName('QR~'+qid+'#1~1')[0]; var day=document.getElementsByName('QR~'+qid+'#2~1')[0]; var yr=document.getElementsByName('QR~'+qid+'#3~1')[0]; var j = yearLast-1898; for(i=j;i
Is it possible to program math tasks for respondents to solve and then have them advance to some more questions if they get a certain amount of tasks right and have the survey end if they do not make the threshold? Something like: Solve the following tasks 1+1, 2+2, 3+3.Then, if they get 2 right, they advance to another survey and if they only get 1 or less right, the survey ends.
I have 3 blocks of questions. Block 1 and 3 each contain 4 questions of which 1 should be randomly shown. Block 2 should be displayed between blocks 1 and 3 and respondents should always answer all questions in block 2. However, I want to randomize which one of blocks 1 and 3 is shown to respondents before block 2 and which one after. Any ideas how I can do this? I have used a randomizer to randomly select either blocks 1 or 3 before block 2 and it works. However, how do I then get the other not randomly selected block to be shown after block 2?Thanks!
Hi, I know this is silly but I cannot figure out how to only allow the entry of numbers in a textbox. I have selected the validation --> number option. I have also tried the following JavaScript: this.getQuestionContainer().querySelector(".TextEntryBox").type = "Number";When I preview the survey, it still allows me to enter text. Any ideas what to do?Thanks!
Hello,I have a multiple-choice question with 3 answer options. The first one is supposed to be just a text entry box but a) only numbers should be allowed to enter, and b) there should not be anything else but the textbox (so, no label of the answer option). Basically, I want a text entry box with numbers only allowed, and then 2 options with "don't know" and "refuse to answer".Hope this makes sense and someone can help me. Thanks a lot!
I'm trying to create a slider question type but besides the slider I also need two answer options: "Not applicable" AND "Refuse to answer". I am only able to get one through the "not applicable" option, but I cannot get a second box. Any ideas how to get it done?
