Hi everyone,I notice that for the inputbox of the text entry question, there exist extra vertical spaces beyond padding as you can see below figure. Also, you can see the demo page here. The eventual goal is to make two options same regarding the height and width, but due to the vertical space in the text entry box of the right option, current situation is suboptimal. I tried to adjust the margin and padding of the inputbox, but extra vertical spaces still exist while the left/right padding can be reduced by adjusting the padding.Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function () { const inputBox = document.querySelector(".InputText"); const inputHolder = document.querySelector(".input-holder"); inputHolder.insertAdjacentElement("afterbegin", inputBox); inputBox.type = "number"; inputBox.style.width = "6rem"; inputBox.style.maxWidth = "50%"; inputBox.style.background = "transparent"; inputBox.style.color = "black"; inputBox.style.margin = "0px 0px"; inputBox.style.borderColor = "gray"; input
Dear all,Currently I am trying to create my survey with a text-entry question. Specifically, I am trying to make it in the form of option-matching as shown below. Ideal FormatHowever, I can not achieve above format yet, and my best outcome so far is like below:Current FormatFor the current format, I firstly adjust the location of the text entry question’s legend by the CSS style code below so that I have a left-right layout, while the OPTION A content is the legend. #QID1 .InnerInner fieldset legend{float:left;width:55%;}#QID1 .InnerInner fieldset QuestionBody{float:left;width:45%;}Then, I add the text before and after the text entry box by:Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" .InputText").before("OPTION B"); jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" .InputText").after(" XXX"); this.questionContainer.select('.ChoiceStructure')[0].style = 'text-align: center;';});However, current display effect does not meet my needs. Could you please tell me how to improve it an
Dear all,I am trying to design a choice list whose right-hand-side is an increasing numerical values. The numerical values are created by mathmatically operating embeded values like below: £$e{e://Field/EV_unit_01 * X} X is from a sequence from 1 to 19, while e://Field/EV_unit_01 is 0.05 in my case. As you can imagine, the resulting numerical vector is 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, …. However, I am trying to make it look like 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, …, with fixing 2 decimal places, so that the whole list will like better. I have tried with the rounding, which does not work for my case. Some answer in earlier posts suggest javascript, but I still have no clue how to do it.Could you please share your knowledge here? Thank you for your attention.Regards,Elon
Dear all,I am trying to customize my own survey with the matrix question. Below one fo my current page is:The problem is, as you can see above, because the setup (class: ChoiceStructure) evenly divides the spaces between the two options, the whole question seemly is not centered and the left table is a bit small due to the wasted space right to the text "$1 for sure". What I expect is the two circle icons can be moved right a bit so that the space between two options can be divided as, let's say, 7:3 rather than 5:5.For your inspecting information, the previewed page is: https://febugent.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/preview/SV_1FdTm2gjoJLCyoK/BL_cIvMH4rytpIJ2M6?Q_SurveyVersionID=currentLook for your help! Thank you very much.
