Hi In a matrix table item, is there a way to limit the number of ticks/choices per scalepoint? In a previous item, respondents are asked to list all examples they can think of of a specific category (e.g. "please list all Irish cities you can think of"). These answers are being carried forward to a matrix table (as statements) where they are asked to choose the top three for different categories (e.g. "now out of your answer, choose the three nicest", ".. the three biggest", etc.). I found a way to limit the number of choices/ticks per Statement ("Validation Type" => "Answer Range") but that is not what I need. I want to limit the number of ticks/choices per scalepoint (i.e. "nicest", "biggest"). Thanks in advance
I want to ask a text entry question where I don't know how many answers respondents will want to list. E.g., list all the footballers that come to your mind. How can I get Qualtrics to automatically add another line, if a respondent has used up the number of text entry fields that first show up?
Hi I want to use "Carry Forward Statements - Entered Choices - Entered Text" from multiple Text Entry Form questions to one Matrix question. The issue is similar as described in this thread (https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/819/carry-forward-answers-from-multiple-questions) but I don't want to use display logic because I don't know how many answers I will have to forward and there could potentially be many. Thanks in advance
Hi I plan to use qualtrics' feature to distribute our survey to a specific contact list. I would like to attach two documents. While I was able to insert the files (appeariing as hyperlinks) I haven't figured out how I can attach them, so they appear like pdf attachments in a normal mail. Is there any way of doing this? Thanks
Hi There are many related question on this topic but none actually answered my specific question. In a MC item, I would like to add space between options but only between the second last and last option ("Don't Know" option). (I know, Qualtrics recommends to refrain from a the Don't Know option but in this case I have no choice.) This is to highlight that the number of "real" choices is even on the scale. Thanks in advance
Hi I am sure there is an easy fix to this but somehow I couldn't figure it out: In a matrix item, how can I have all boxes selected (so respondents have to un-select instead of select). I know I can manually select all boxes through "Add Default Choices.." but because I have to do it for many items, I hope there is an automatic way? Thanks in advance
Hi I have coded that my text form item dynamically adjusts when I mouse-click into the last form field (adds a new text entry box for an additional entry). It works fine but because it uses questionclick only if you use your mouse and obviously not if you use the tab key to move from one text box entry to the next. I didnt find an API that adds a listener for a tab event. Is there any way to simulate entering the tab key as a mouse-click? Thanks in advance!
Hi & happy xmas eve:) I have an issue with text entry form items. Let's assume I first ask respondents to list the best cities in Europe with a text entry field for each city they can think of. The next item asks for the best cities in the whole world. I dont want respondents having to list the same answers again because chances are that there is an overlap. Ideally I would like the answers from the first item (best cities in Europe) as suggestions in the second item (best cities in the world) and then respondents being able to delete some of these suggestions if they want and being able to add additional ones. The carry forward option just lists the previous answers as "descriprtions" with new text fields next to them. Is there any way of carrying forward answers and suggesting them for another item with the option to modify them? Thanks in advance
