Hi all - I have a 4x3 matrix question where respondents enter three numerical values in each of four rows of open text fields and I need to calculate the median value in each row. Qualtrics doesn't appear to include a median math operation and scoring isn't available for this question type.TomG suggested the below code to someone who needed to calculate a max value and I'd love something similarly simple if it exists. (Unfortunately Math.median doesn't appear to be a thing. :/) Thanks in advance!var max = Math.max(parseInt("${q://QID16ChoiceTextEntryValue"), parseInt("${q://QID17ChoiceTextEntryValue}"), parseInt("${q://QID18ChoiceTextEntryValue)}"));Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("max", max);
Hi - We have a survey with a chunk of fine print / legalese text that we would like to put at the bottom of the page, below the next page/submit button. I've tried using the Look & Feel Footer box, but the content continues to appear above the button, which forces respondents to have to scroll down and hunt for the button to move on to the next page. Does anyone know how to get this content to appear at the true bottom of the page, BELOW the next page/submit button? Is this even possible? Thanks in advance!
I have a situation where I need to ask respondents for numerical values and then display the result of a math operation back to them ON THE SAME PAGE. Simplified example:Q1) What is your hourly wage? AQ2) How many hours per week do you work? B(In background, multiply A*B*52 to get value C)Q3) You have reported that your annual salary is approximately $C. Is this correct? [Y/N]I can do the math using piped text and Qualtrics math operations, but that only seems to work if there's a page break between Qs 2 and 3. In our actual survey (which involves a more complex series of value entry boxes and calculations), I want the result to appear on the same page so that respondents can easily see and correct errors without having to move back and forth in the survey to see the results. Ideally, I would like it to work like the Constant Sum question type where the resulting sum is shown instantly.Is there a way to do this within Qualtrics natively? Or some kind of js plug-in I could use? Thanks
We have a number of questions that are structured as multiple choice with an "Other" open text box. We would like to add a list of autocomplete options for the most popular "Other" choices to help normalize the data we're collecting. We have access to Qualtrics' Autocomplete functionality in the Text Entry question type, but I don't see a way to add it to the Text Entry boxes in Multiple Choice questions. Am I missing something? Is there a workaround for this?Question example:In which city do you work? (1) MajorCity1 (2) MajorCity2 (3) Other City: ___________
I've designed an opt in/opt out form that updates data in a respondent's Salesforce profile and I've hit a snag with a picklist field. When a respondent opts out, a picklist value/selection is sent to reflect the reason why. When they opt back IN, I need to be able to clear the picklist value so it's reset back to None/NULL. I've tried several different ways to do this, but they either cause my API call to fail, or they do nothing at all. Does anyone know of a way for me to clear a picklist value/reset a picklist from Qualtrics?FYI, we're using the out-of-box Qualtrics/Salesforce integration and I'm not able to edit the Salesforce picklist field on the SF side to change the default value or add new options. Thank you in advance!
