I've been doing research for a long time now and I see no clear way on how to connect Power BI and Qualtrics through the Qualtrics API. What I'm aiming to do is automate the process of importing survey results into Power BI. Currently I just have a spreadsheet that I manually add new survey results to as they come in. I got instructions on how to do it with the 2.5 version which seemed easy, but I've been advised to stay away from that now and do it the v3 way. The v3 way makes 0 sense to me and seems not possible to directly connect to Power BI.
I am looking to implement something like this in an email: ! That would have an outcome like this: !
Since there is no official documentation on how to do this and I'm not familiar with Python, I'm pretty confused on how to do this. I was given this code by a support person but it's not working: Python 3 import requests import json import io, os import sys import pandas from pandas.io.json import json_normalize Setting user Parameters apiToken = '[ID]' surveyId = "[ID]" fileFormat = "csv" dataCenter = ‘[Datacenter]’ Setting static parameters requestCheckProgress = 0.0 progressStatus = "inProgress" baseUrl = "https://{0}.qualtrics.com/API/v3/surveys/{1}/export-responses/".format(dataCenter, surveyId) headers = { "content-type": "application/json", "x-api-token": apiToken, } Step 1: Creating Data Export downloadRequestUrl = baseUrl downloadRequestPayload = {"format": fileFormat, "compress": False, "useLabels": True} downloadRequestResponse = requests.request("POST", downloadRequestUrl, json=downloadRequestPayload, headers=headers) progressId = downloadRequestR
I'm attempting to have a setup where when a case is closed in Salesforce, it triggers an email to the Delta Contact with a link to take a short survey. I've been trying to set this up from the Actions menu. I followed all the steps from the website on setting this up and it still doesn't work properly. We would like the link to expire after 1 day. However after testing, I've been able to access the link after 1 day anyways. I reached out to ask why and they said because the link being sent is anonymous and those aren't designed to expire at all which doesn't help me. How am I supposed to set this up so the link isn't anonymous? The screenshot they keep referring me to is the Distribution list to show me a message that says "Distributions with anonymous links do not support reminder and thank you messages" which also means it won't expire. How do I get this set up properly?
I'm attempting to insert piped text into an outbound email message that is triggered by a case closing in Salesforce. I have all the embedded data fields I need except for Case Owner for some reason? I'm able to go through and select the case owner name to store in a contact list if I want to: ! The name shows up as it is supposed to when I go check the contact list: ! But when I check my available fields for embedded data, all I get is the Owner ID field. I cannot drill any further to reach the actual name of the Case Owner: ! So when the email message is sent after a case is closed, it will say 00550000004RxjPAAS just handled your case rather than Julia Smallwood. Is there any way to get the actual name embedded? My outbound message currently looks like this: !
So when I go to Tools->Salesforce->Trigger and Email Survey I get this view of all my needed Delta Contact information: ! But when I go to Actions->Tasks I get this view and I can no longer see the fields I need: ! What would be the cause of being able to see Delta Contact fields under one view but not the other? I want to build my email from the Actions tab since there I have the ability to set the link to expire after 24 hours.
