Hi all, I have a constant sum matrix type where each box needs to have a number between 0 and 100. Additionally, I want to remove the prefilled zeroes and have blank spaces instead. I use the following code to remove the prefilled zeroes Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){jQuery("#"+this.questionId+ "td input[type=text]").val("");});and I use custom validation with "greater than or equal to 0" and "less than or equal to 100" in each box. The problem is that if only one of the many boxes does not satisfy the condition, ALL the boxes become blank, so you need to start again.Is there a way, in which you get the error message and you are not allowed to pass to the next question, BUT none of the answers, or only the answers that do not satisfy the condition, are deleted? Hi all, I am new to using Java in qualtrics and I would appreciate your help. I want to roll a dice once and to store the result as embedded data to use it later in the survey. The dice rolls well, BUT I CAN'T STORE THE RESULT. Hi all, I want to change the number on the progress bar of some pages manually. I am able to move the bar so that it represents the number that I want with the code below, but it the text in the progress bar doesn't update. jQuery("div.ProgressBarFill").css("width", "80%");I have the following code on the look and feel header, so that the progress bar shows the number. With this, the number that it shows is the one that qualtrics calculates, not the one that I impose with the code above. Hi all, I am writing a consent form in the beginning of the survey and I want the participants to check two cheekbones. If they don't select both of them, the can't pass page (similar to a force response). I don't want to send them to the end of the survey, I just want to not allow them to pass the page. Hi all, I have a matrix question, with one row and two columns, with a text entry form. In each of the columns I ask the responded to give a number (I set Content Validation --> Number). I want to calculate the average of these two text entries. In the Survey flow, after the block where I ask them about these two numbers, I write: ! Apparently the expression is not correct. When I write : ${e://Field/average} , I get {Invalid Expression}. I followed the "Math Operations" page provided in Qualtrics to write the embedded data expression. What am I doing wrong? Thank!
Hi all, I posted this question before but it wasn't posted in a very read-friendly way, so here it goes again. I am trying to make a bar graph where you can drag the bars with the mouse. I am using Chart.js with its dragData pluggin, and I am using a source code of a demo provided in (https://www.npmjs.com/package/chartjs-plugin-dragdata, see Bar-Simple demo). I can see the graph perfectly, and the mouse becomes a hand when you put it in one of the bars (as it should be). However, it is weird, because I cannot move the bars. I think that the problem may be that I am not adapting the demo code to Qualtrics properly... But I don't know what else to try, so suggestions are appreciated. Thank you! Hi all, I have silly question regarding how to post the html and java questions in the community. I never manage to post them... Every time I type the lines that would go in html form, the lines disappear when I post the comment and there is a blank space (the computer reads the html code). I tried putting the code lines between quotation marks, but doesn't help. On the other hand, when I write the js code, I don't get the automatic change of color, bold words ... in the code, which makes it much easier to read for the other members. There must be a simple way, but I couldn't figure it out. How do you do it? Thank you!
Hi all, I am trying to make a draggable bar chart using charts-plugin-dragdata. When I put the mouse in the bar, the mouse becomes a hand, but then, I can't drag the bar. Hi all, I have a question regarding my survey protection. Here is the setup. 1- I want to distribute a survey through a third party: A university will send an email to its students. In that email. students will find an anonymous link to my survey. 2- It is important that only the students who receive this email complete the survey. In other words, I want to avoid students forwarding the email to their friends (completing the survey has some financial compensation, so they may have incentives to do so). 3- To avoid this, I wonder whether there is any way of tracking sender of the email from which the student is taking the survey. If I would do this, I could flag those students who are completing the survey from an email that was sent by some non-official account. I fear this option is not possible, but there may still be a way to improve protection, albeit no perfectly. The only thing that I did so far is to select "Prevent Ballot Box Stuffing", but this does not solve my problem.
