The account record id should just be Account ID. What is the name of the lookup field for the Account on the record you are trying to create? That's what you should be mapping to. The ID value you are passing to it should be either 15 or 18 characters.
You should be able to track the error you are getting in Reporting section of Actions that corresponds to your response mapping action. The linking should be based on ID and not name (I'm assuming it's a lookup field in SF on the monitoring record that links it to the account based on that ID). But you need to see the specific error to troubleshoot. It's difficult to pinpoint the issue without looking at it.
I believe you can only do that once you close out your partial responses. You can do that in Data & Analaysis --> Partial Responses section. Generally, when you set up a survey, you should have an idea of how long you want the partial responses to stay open and set up that time in Survey Options so they will automatically close and be included in your reporting at that time.
I posted a similar question regarding your option 1 previously: Embedded data field updates — Qualtrics Community; and not surprisingly, the answer is no. The option given to me by Qualtrics was to create a copy of the survey, and import historical data + new updated embedded data fields into the new survey. Definitely not doable in my situation since this will be an ongoing survey as part of the VOC program, where I need to periodically add/update certain attributes.
Here is the support article for piped text: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/editing-questions/piped-text/piped-text-overview/Most of the examples and screenshots are for piping in within the survey design. But it's the same idea. You click on the button for piped text and choose which field to bring in. They don't give you the ability to do that in the subject for some reason. So just do it within the body and then copy into the subject.
You should be able to pipe that into your email subject or body - Response ID is unique to each response, but you can pipe in any of the data fields.
ahmedA Not sure how this will help me since I have a data file with a mapping of response ID's to the new field values I need to upload. All the values vary by response ID so I need to map that whole file to responses. Let me know if I didn't understand correctly what you are suggesting.
Ah, too bad. That's the only solution I'm aware of. Otherwise, you need to give them full distribution rights, which I agree doesn't meet your needs and creates control issues. I suggest putting in a feature request.
Do you have access to dashboards? You can set up distribution reporting in dashboards and give them access to the right widgets/reports there with filters for particular accounts, etc.
