The choices to the right (1,2 and 3,4) are really just labels. You could use JS to traverse the DOM and get the selected label text, but it isn’t clear to me why you would want to. You can pipe the selected choices or base display logic on the selected choices on the next page. @TomG How can I transverse the DOM and get the selected text?I want to retrieve this information in the same page instead the next because the value in the entry boxes is dependent on the label selected in 1,2 or 3,4. Let’s say, the value in box A is 10, and if they selected option 1, A keeps their value (10), but if you selected 2 the value of A transforms to half (5). And the same for the B entry box. I need to return the value in the same page because the value of the calculation of A and B conditioned to display the next page. Let’s say, if A*B is more than 100 you can see the next question, if not go to the next block. Thanks for any insight!

This works!!! Seems like this code is the same to get the values of what I did with w and t vars in my code above. But still is missing the value that I get from the options (1,2 or 3,4). See the example below. The data retrieved is the same. @Josang do you want to create a text box in front of the options A and B? @omkarkewat no, I already create them. I already find a way to save wherever I input in that boxes. What I want is to retrieve the selected option in the rows. I mean, 1 or 2 for A or 3 or 4 for B statement.I am trying to figure out still this.Thank you!

I close this post. I did not realize that I did not put this.questionID and left “questionID” only. It works fine.

@dxconnamnguyen Thank you very much for your response. This way works, in fact it is the same one I used when I used multiple choice questions (Yes/No). But in this case, my question (drill drop down type) has many choices (100+) and, although I thought about that solution too, I didn't want to create many lines of code. Also, since it is a time question, if this survey is implemented in the next or subsequent year the categories should change and, therefore, the code. This would imply a heavy workload that I think, if only the value of the answer to the question was obtained, should be enough to works in any time context. If you have an idea how to get the description of the selected option from JS, and then store it in an embedded variable that would be great. I understand that I can't do it from the question because Qualtrics doesn't save the answer to question A "${q://QID1007/ChoiceGroup/SelectedAnswers/26}" until I hit "next". If there is no way, maybe I have to create separate
Thank you all for your replies, some clarifications: 1.- I can’t piped ${q://QID1007/ChoiceGroup/SelectedAnswers/26} in question B because if the person responded other questions before with yes, the value of timing change to something completly different. So I need to get the value here if people get this branch of the survey. 2.- I don´t want to piped the selected choice in the same page/question. I want the response of the question A and piped the choice in a next question B. I was able to do it in another scenarios coditioned certain responses, but now here I am using direclty the response got it, but it doesn´t works. If you have any other suggestion. Please, let me know. Thanks!

Just to clarify, I want a embbeded variable to piped in another question that resume all potential combinations of differents items (4095 different combinations for 12 items) without do all by hand in survey flow. Hi @Josang, Below is the solution: 1). Create those 10 separate question in separate blocks. 2). In survey flow, create 10 separate branching logic (If, Q1 = Yes, then add below embedded data Q1 with Value A), same below 2nd question, till 10th question (See image below) 3). After that, create 1 more embedded data say, “Final” with value = (${e://Field/Q1},${e://Field/Q2},${e://Field/Q3},${e://Field/Q4},${e://Field/Q5}) Note=> Update question numbers accordingly Hope this helps :) Regards, PD
