Hi! I wish to remove the ranking of items within a group when using the drag-and-drop question (from the Pick, group, and Rank question type). In other words, I don't want any number at all to precede the items listed by participants. Does anyone know how to remove this function? Thanks in advance!Sofia
Hello!I'm designing a survey in which I wish to collect the exact number of times a participant presses the Space bar (or possibly another key on the keyboard) while watching a video clip. That is, participants are asked to press the key as many times as they wish, and the number of presses is my main outcome variable. It is therefore important that the number of recorded presses corresponds to the actual number they pressed the key. Some participants will do this experiment on their home computer so this needs to work on multiple browsers. For a previous in-lab experiment we simply added a text-entry field, hidden to participants, as a separate question under the video. Using some code, we collected the number of Space bar presses made by participants. In order to make sure that if a participant lingered on a key, we changed the preferences on the computer itself to make sure that one press could only result in one character, no matter the time a person pressed a key. This worked for
I have a survey to which I've added some Javascript: Participants can use an "add button" and a "remove button" to decide how many groups they which to group the list of items into, by adding and removing groups as they wish. You can see how it works here https://samgu.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_czQxglGYSFUQ6zQ The problem is that when an item has been added to a group, and a participant decides to remove that group, the items that have been added to that group stays in that group, hidden. So, when they hit the "add button" the perviously chosen items appear in that group again. I wish instad that all items that are in a group that is removed are thrown back into the list of items again. Is it somehow possible to use Javascript to move items in a way that could help me with this problem? Current html:Current Javascript: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ jQuery("div.Group:not(:first)").hide(); jQuery("#addbutton").on('click',function(){ jQuery("div.Group:eq("+parseInt(parse
Hi!I have a couple questions on how to add some custom code for my survey. I already added som JS code which I have specified below, and I am using the question type "Pick, Group and Rank". Wish to add a "Delete group" box next to the "Add group" box that is already there. By clicking the box, the box that was added last will be removed. I wish that the list of items that are in the row to the left are gathered in several columns instead of in one long list. More specifically, I would like there to be around three rows or so, to make it easier to get an overview.Related to the question above: I wish that objects that are paced in a box to the right are organized in two or three columns, possibly following the same rule as above. This is, again, to make it easier to get an overview of the words in each box. I am also open to other suggestions on how to solve this issue. Here's the survey question: https://samgu.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8eQ5X7noyExzJIO This is the current HTML code:
I want to add a question to a survey and believe I need to add some code to an existing question type. The task: Respondents will be presented with a list of words of objects (e.g. brush, tent, camera) and their task is to group those objects into whatever groups they want. I am interested in the number of groups they choose to create. That is, whether they choose to divide them into 3, 5, or maybe even as many as 9 different groups. Note that the number of groups is really the only thing I am interested in here. Please see my sketches which (hopefully) help illustrate the basic setup of the task. In my examples, the respondent chose to divide the groups into three (3) groups. The drag-and-drop question type is closest to what I need. But the problem is that it requires me to specify categories in advance, and I can't do this because it is up to respondents to create unnamed groups themselves. Possible solution: One solution is to add a button called something like "Create a group" to
