When editing a multiple choice question, the "edit multiple" is much faster to use than editing each option individually. In addition to being faster, the "edit multiple" allows me to edit things in a text editor, and it allows me to copy and paste easily from other sources. "Edit multiple" is pro-level. Unfortunately, Qualtrics takes "edit multiple" away if you've collected any responses for the questionnaire. Inexplicably, Qualtrics doesn't turn it back on even if you *copy* that survey into a new survey with 0 responses. They know about this behavior ("Attention: The Edit Multiple feature is disabled as soon as you collect data on your survey. This is to prevent invalidation of your data. If you copy a survey where this feature has been disabled, the copy will also not contain the Edit Multiple feature." Source: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/editing-questions/formatting-questions/) I'm looking for a workaround for the disappearing "edit mu
Hi everybody. I've got something like this HTML in a Qualtrics question: `<img src="https://www.gstatic.com/webp/gallery/1.jpg" style="width: 556px; height: 273px; ` `padding-bottom:0px; margin-bottom:0px; border:1px solid black;">` `<br><div style="margin-top:0px; padding-top:0px; border:1px solid black;">Text</div>` My goal is to have _no gap_ between the image and the text. It looks fine while editing the Qualtrics survey, but when "Previewing" the question, there is a gap of about, say, 10 pixels. I want to remove it. I suppose it's CSS associated with the Qualtrics theme -- perhaps a margin or padding somewhere?. I've tried different themes, but nothing gets rid of it. Is there some custom CSS I could add somewhere (presumably as a preamble to that question's HTML because I'm after only a localized change) to get rid of that gap?
In old Qualtrics surveys, I've successfully used some simple HTML effects under the question's "HTML view" with code like this: <p style=”text-align:center; color:black; background:LightCyan; font-weight:bolder; border:1px solid PaleTurquoise; padding:5px;”> Some signpost text that gives guidance to respondents </p> This code still works when I view old surveys, but it doesn't work in new surveys. What's up? Here's one bit of info that may be helpful for diagnosis. I've noticed that the "Look & Feel Theme" I was using on the old surveys seems to be unavailable for new surveys. I cant' find any new themes that support the simple HTML. But maybe the problem has nothing at all to do with the L&F theme. Let me mention what <u>won't</u> work for what I'm doing. Neither the "Look & Feel editor" nor "Adding Custom CSS" are the answers here. I'm not looking for any global, survey-wide changes. I'm only looking for some very localized HTML
Currently, if I want to create a documentary record of a survey, I print the survey to PDF (Import/Export >> Print Survey). Unfortunately, the result doesn't show lots of information about the questions, including skip patterns, validation options, and recoding. Worst of all, it doesn't show survey flow. There must be a better way. I recognize you can export the survey to .qsf format (Import/Export >> Export), but that creates a JSON file that isn't exactly easy to interpret by inspection. Even when the .qsf is put into a JSON editor, just try to interpret a complex survey flow from the JSON! Very difficult. Printing the browser screen while editing the survey won't do the trick because all those question options (e.g., recoding and validation) won't be shown for each question. I guess I could edit each question and expose each setting to do a screen grab of each one. And I could do another set of screen grabs for the survey flow. Yikes, that's incredibly tedious
