Hi, I want to pass the 'Total' value from one Matrix Table (Constant Sum) question to another Matrix Table (Constant Sum) question's first column. So this is what I tried to do.In the Survey Flow after the 1st Matrix Table question, set a embedded data field with the value from the 'Total' box in the first row as shown below.QID1-Total = ${q://QID1/ChoiceGroup/QID1-1_Total} (Not sure if I have the correct syntax to capture the first row's Total field. I got the element id by doing Inspect on the page.)Then pipe that newly embedded data field in the 2nd Matrix Table question's first column's first text box by going to default choices and adding the field as shown below.${e://Field/QID1-Total}So I'm not sure if I'm setting the embedded data correctly in step 1. Please let me know how can I get that value from the Total in the first row and assign it to an embedded data field. Thank you,
Hi, I'm trying to validate if a 'Statement' in the Matrix table question exists using jquery. So the 'Statement' is a span element. I added this 'span' element using the 'html' editor in the matrix table question. Here is the html for the 'Statement' -- ASM) And here is my js code inside onready function, if ($('#asm').length) { alert("The element you're testing is present."); alert($('#asm').text()); }But I'm getting this error ---> Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of null. And I inspected the page and confirmed that the 'asm' id element exists so not sure why it is throwing a null. And I tried this same code outside of Qualtrics using a html and it works perfectly fine. Just strange. Not sure what am i missing. Any help appreciated.
Hi, here is my survey flow. Employee fills out a survey which has a Matrix Table question (constant sum). Then via Actions I send an email with the link to the Supervisor to view/edit the Employee's responses. When it goes to the Supervisor, I've a Y/N question at the top followed by the Matrix Table question (constant sum) prepopulated with the responses submitted by the Employee. Now the Supervisor is given the Y/N question to see if they agree with the Employee's responses in the Matrix table. If the Supervisor selects 'Y' then the Matrix table question should become uneditable and if the Supervisor selects 'N' they must make updates to the Matrix table responses.I guess it can be done using JS validation. How to validate a Matrix Table question (constant sum) using JavaScript? Like if they select 'Y' then the Matrix table question should be disabled and if they select 'N' they MUST update the Matrix table and can't proceed w/o updating. Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi, so my survey flow is - survey goes to employee, employee fills out and submits, submitted response goes to Supervisor to make any edits, and when Supervisor makes any changes to the employee's response then the survey should go back again to Employee but only the changes that the Supervisor made should be visible. How do I do that? I've the flow until Supervisor making any changes but not sure how to send only the changed portions to Employee again? Help pls. Thanks.I was thinking -- is there any way like when Supervisor completes the edit, add a flag to the URL and pass it to the Employee and then manipulate the flag in the url, when the employee views the survey to show only the edits... just thinking out loud..
