Hi friends! I am reaching out for some support related to custom formatting for the Pick, Group, and Rank questions, specifically when using the drag and drop functionality. I've seen a bunch of posts in the forums that are similar, but my expertise with CSS is admittedly very limited so I'll need a little more hand-holding here. As you can see from the attached picture, I've been able to get some of what I want done, but I've mostly broken it and made it worse. ! I'm trying to figure out which attributes will affect the blue line (bucket width), red line (I'm calling it "bucket text width"), and the green line (space between buckets). I was also unsuccessful in changing the font attributes at all, so would love help there (especially in overriding the theme that we'll be using for this specific question, if that's possible). I'm specifically hoping to change font weight, type, and size. It'd be especially great if I could change part of the bucket text, but not all of it (so in the
I am asking a matrix question with a series of statements and three answer choices. If respondents select "A lot" or "Not at all" for any of the items, we are asking a follow-up question that amounts to:"What about those things you said 'a lot' were good?" and "What about those things you selected 'not at all' for could be improved?"There are many items and it would be excellent if I could add "and" before the last item. Right now they're just coming out as a comma separated list, which is fine, but it'd be cool to add the and with an oxford comma. Is there some simple javascript solution that could do this for me?In case it's helpful there is a page break between the matrix and open-ended questions and I have a second set of each question if they only select one (that is, "What about that thing you selected" vs. "What about those things you selected") and I'd only need to add the "and" for the "I selected multiple items" questions.
Has anyone had success creating a direct connection to Qualtrics in PowerBI? I'm currently running a python script to download responses using the v3 API directions here but am really hoping I can create a direction connection to PowerBI. I've created a Python script in my query editor and added some attempts to open the zip file created by the export script but haven't been successful. The answer I've seen frequently is either "you need to know how to code the API" or "you need our custom solutions" and so am trying to see if the collective wisdom of the community has solved this challenge yet.
I'll admit it's a pretty naive question, but I've inherited a survey that has Drill Downthat asks for people to select their organization from a list filtering by state, city, then organization. Right now, the list has almost 150,000 entries. A few years ago the survey team was able to develop some JS that gets around the row limit. I simply don't understand how it works, and we've found that 1. It's really slow and 2. It doesn't work reliably on mobile. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts about how to get around the row limit in ways that are really efficient and effective. I can share snippets of the code if it's useful, but from my rudimentary understanding, it essentially takes a CSV that we upload to our library and creates and array and then JSON to load into the Drill Down. I don't know enough about how it works to figure out if it's as efficient as it could be or if there's a better way.
Hi friends. I'm using custom javascript to bypass the row limit of drill down questions. It was working yesterday but is suddenly not. Is anyone aware of any changes to the platform that could cause this? I haven't made any changes to these questions since it was working yesterday and I'm just at my wits end and out of my element. Here's the error I'm seeing: ! I've also attached the javascript we're using. If anyone has any suggestions for how to do this more efficiently, we'd love them, but in the meantime I'm just trying to get my survey working again. The script feeds a text entry question and changes them to drop downs allowing people to select from the first column which filters the second which filters the third. The script appears to be failing to load entirely. Thanks for your help!
I have a total of 16 multiple choice questions in a block. 4 of those statements have an open-ended follow-up question where if a respondent answers the question in a particular way and is part of a randomized group, the follow-up should appear and they can clarify why they answered the way they did. I want to present the 16 questions in a random order, but I can't seem to find a way to group the 4 statements that have follow-up with their open-ended followup questions. Right now I've set up 16 different blocks and added the open-ended follow-ups to the appropriate block and then I'm using a randomizer in the survey flow, but I have to think there's a better way to do this. Can I create groups of questions within the block and then apply randomization such that each question (or group, if it has an open-ended follow-up) is randomized?
I'm using a Drill Down question to ask respondents about whether they work for one of the organizations in a list. I'm first filtering by State and then listing the organizations in those states. For each State I am including an "Other Organization" option. As an example, you could select "CA" as your state and then "Other Organization" but you can similarly select "Other Organization" for each other state. I'm then displaying a text field for respondents who select one of these "Other Organization" options to write-in their organization name but was hoping to _not_ have to select each option individually (since there are 50 options, iterating through each state). Is there a way to use either just the 2nd level of the drill down or some other method to determine whether they selected one of the "Other" options to display this text field? My familiarity with JavaScript is limited but I can follow directions pretty well if there's a solution there. Thanks!
