HelloI recently added some timing questions to my survey without realising they caused my custom javascript to cease functioning (I am assuming this as no other changes were made). However, after removing all the timing questions the code still doesn’t function. The code is supposed to take a value entered by the respondents and perform some functions upon the click of a button. These values are then displayed to the respondent. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix the problem. Thanks in advance.
Hello I have been adding a line of javascript to the questions where I need the back button turned off, but this is taking way too long as I have lots of repeated questions with slight variations depending on the respondent.Essentially, can I set it to turn off the back button for an entire block, rather than just one question. I have set an embedded variable called BackButton = 1 or 0 for on and off but can’t get any javascript to operate it properly. CheersRussell
Is there a way of adding a button or editing the back button to skip back 2/3 pages and count how many times respondents click it? This is within the same block, and I’ve removed branch logic btw.
Hi I have this code which is intended to add a timer. It should allow 60 seconds for a block to be completed before moving on automatically. The respondents should be able to see the timer at the top while clicking through each question, every question has a page break in between. Here is the html:“<div id="timerContainer"></div>Time remaining“ There is a separate issue that the first page after the timer displays the continue at the top right next to the progress bar but all subsequent questions it is at the bottom - as intended.Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function() { var timerElement = document.createElement('div'); timerElement.id = 'timerContainer'; timerElement.style.position = 'fixed'; timerElement.style.top = '0'; timerElement.style.left = '0'; timerElement.style.backgroundColor = '#fff'; timerElement.style.padding = '10px'; timerElement.style.zIndex = '9999'; var questionContainer = document.querySelector('.Skin #Questions'); questionContainer.inse
Hi I have a question in my survey which needs to pull through a previous (numeric) response from another question. I perform some functions on the response then pipe the one of the values depending on another constraint. Some of the values may seem irrelevant. For the ones I care about I have tried creating embedded variables in the api but they either aren’t working or the output isn’t being displayed through the piped text. I will attach the code from the various questions. Here is the piped text I’m using in the next question block:${e://Field/Score} - ${e://Field/T5} - 10${e://Field/Score} - ${e://Field/t5} The other issue is that this displays the sum of their final score but it would be better displayed as one value so the calculation goes on behind the scenes. Many thanks in advanceQualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page loads*/});Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page
Code.pdfI have been trying to work out how to use the answer from a previous question to inform values in a table I created in the rich content editor. I have no coding experience, whatsoever, and I've no idea if what I have suggested is even possible in the way I've suggested. So, any tips are greatly appreciated. The essentials are that respondents will enter a numeric value into a box. They then click a button on the same page which should pull through the numeric value. The table is also on the same page which, I am told, is why I cannot use embedded data to solve the problem. The numeric value from the previous question is then transformed by some if statements which I define (see pdf). The pdf shows the if statements which are required but I'm not sure if I am able to create variables like this. Is there a replace function which could replace the string "y1" with a numeric value based on the previous question answer and if statement mentioned?Any help much appreciatedThanks in ad
Hello, apologies as I'm new to Qualtrics/coding.I have a task in my survey which requires participants to enter a value into a box which needs to change other values in a table next to it. It seems I could do this with embedded data by generating some new embedded variables in survey flow. In particular I would like to perform some basic summing/subtracting/multiplication but also some if/else statements depending on the scores gained in the survey.Would anyone be able to assist with the syntax as I have never coded prior to this and am not in tune with the formatting of such calculations. Many thanks in advanceHere is an example of what I'm after
