Hi all, I am trying to show my respondents some additional text for each option shown in a side-by-side question (SEE SCREENSHOT BELOW).I cannot add this directly to the first column where the options are listed, as the options are carried forward from a previous question. My approach has been to add a second column with text boxes, and use the default choices function to populate the corresponding text that I want to show for each option. I want the second column to effectively be an extension of the first, rather than something for the respondent to edit. However, as it stands, I do not know how to ‘lock’ the text box so that this cannot be edited (or whether this is at all possible). Can anybody suggest how this could be done? Or any other approaches? Thanks!
Hi all, I have a side by side question that looks as follows. It asks the reader to consider the text that is entered into a ‘locked’ text box, and answer two questions with reference to this text. I wanted to amend the height of the text boxes so that they adjust to the length of the text - or at the very least, so that they are taller (i.e., as tall as the rows they occupy). Would this be possible? I imagine that this would involve some sort of javascript, however I am not too good in this respect, so any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Juan
Hi there. I am looking to enable my survey respondents to add further ‘blank’ columns on a side-by-side question, which offer the same choices as the ‘stock’ columns but the respondent can edit the column header for. Ideally, there would be a ‘plus’ button which adds an additional column right of “Trade bodies...”, whose header is blank and the respondent can type in, but with the same drop-downs as the other columns (see the below screenshot). That way the respondent can add an institution not listed and evaluate it on the same terms as the others. I have seen a discussion along the same lines, but in the context of adding rows, here: Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I could amend this for my purposes? I imagine javascript is involved, however I am completely useless on that front… Huge thanks in advance!
Hi there. I wanted to show my respondents a summary of the survey questions and the responses they gave, together with the option to edit these before they click submit. I have managed to do this for relatively simple multiple choice questions, following the discussion here: I am however struggling to implement this for a side-by-side question that is part of my survey. The question looks as follows: I have tried to implement the JS code mentioned in the thread above, but to no avail. I imagine that, this being a SBS question instead of a simpler multiple choice, I would need to amend the JS code somewhat. However I am a real beginner to JS so I am not really sure how to do this… Can somebody help with this? Thank you in advance! Juan
