Greetings all, so we use a Survey to "register" our participants. So the actual "survey results" are never looked at--the answers to the survey questions are injected into our iQ Directory as embedded data fields. We then filter on these embedded data fields to create samples to survey. So, we recently updated our registration survey and I am getting ready to email the people we currently have in our directory a "please update your registration information" type email which will be an invite to the new registration survey (which again will just inject embedded data into iQ Directory). The issue is that my OptOut link in the bottom of this email invite I'm sending has this code: ${l://OptOutLink?d=here}. If a person clicks this they are taken to the Qualtrics page which allows them to click a link to unsubscribe from that panel. There is a second link that allows them to be removed from ALL panels. When I tested this and clicked the first link, it does *not* opt me out in the Directory
Greetings all, I have an ask from a user that I'm hoping I can get an answer on. The situation is that a survey is being planned where images will be shown and respondent's opinions on the images asked. The issue is that the researcher would like a way to help ensure respondents are dissuaded from downloading the image to their computer (and potentially violate their NDA by sharing the image or posting it).The ask was if there is a way for Qualtrics to apply a "dynamic watermark" to the image (using piped text). So, the image in the survey would just be the base image, but when you enter your email address in a previous block, that email address is stored as an embedded data field and then later, the image is displayed with a watermark on top of the image that is the email address (pulled from the embedded data field). Is that possible somehow? Or is thee a better way to lock down/watermark images in a survey?Thanks!
Greetings all, I am looking for a way to create a filter that will allow me to filter out everyone that does not live within 50 miles of our HQ. We do all our surveys on site and have determined that this is the maximum radius where we can reliably get folks to come in. I have a list of 667 zipcodes that make up all the zipcodes within 50 miles of our location but now I need to use that as a filter. I chatted with support and they said that this is not a built in function but that I could either make a "saved filter" with 667 individual lines (not my preference :) ) or I could try hitting the forums for help. So, does can anyone think of a way (possibly Regex?) to create a filter that basically says "show if zipcode [zipcode is an embedded data field for us on our directory members] is equal to 90405 OR 90404 OR...." for the list of 667 zipcodes? I tried using ^[9][0-3][0-9][0-9][0-9]$ as the min and max range of zipcodes is 90001-93599 but the problem is that not *every* zipcode in
Greetings all, so I have a situation where I create and initialize a embedded data field to "0" at the start of my survey flow. Then, I have a question later in the survey that, if seen, updates that value. If the respondent doesn't see that question the embedded data field should not be changed. So I want to include a bit of Javascript on that particualr question that essentially says "when the answers *this* question set the embedded data field to the selected choice." So when I put this following code in any of the three Javascript sections (addOnload/addOnReady/addOnUnload) it doesn't work. What am I missing? I think maybe I need to wrap this javascript with something else that watches for the question to be answered? Note that this code *does* work if I put it at the end of the survey in a question everyone sees but then it screws up my initial setting and initialization of the embedded data field. Greetings gang, so here's the deal, in my registration survey I take the entered info and inject it into my XM Directory as embedded data fields (via Contact List trigger). Nothing new there but my problem is this: when a person fills out the survey it records their information including address. So there is a field for "address (line 2)" where people usually put things like "apt 1" and such. This all works fine and without issue. The information shows up in their Directory entry in an embedded data field called "Address2". The problem is that if they take the survey again later (say after they move) and leave that text box empty (maybe they've moved into a house with no "address line 2" that empty entry is *not* injected into the Directory to replace the previously entered "apt 1". So I really have two questions: 1. How do I make sure that if a field is left blank, that "blank" (empty) field is put into the embedded data field for that person? 2. Greetings all, I was met with the nasty surprise that "Matches Regex" matching is no longer a thing in the Directory for filtering. This is a serious blow to me as 100% of my recruitment effort starts by only contacting people that live within 50 miles of our location (our research participants come in to our facility to test). I need help on formulating a workaround. Previously I had a Regex expression that matched to the 660 Zip Codes within 50 miles of me and would run that against my Directory. It was slow but it always worked. Since that is now gone and Qualtrics does not offer any tool that allows "distance from zipcode" what do I do now? Do I create a saved filter/search that is 660 lines long? With one line for each Zipcode? Can you even have a search filter that is 660 lines long? I tried just pasting all 660 Zip codes into a "embedded data > ZIpCode > Contains >" filter but that failed (I tried it with a space between zipcodes and also tried it with a pipe "|" betwe
Greetings all, I have a question I'm helping someone can help me with. I have a survey which we are using to register people. The survey asks a number of questions and these are then all injected into the Directory (I'm a iQ Directory user) as embedded data fields in a contact list trigger. The problem I'm running into is that in a multiple choice question I have an answer and then some text after it. The answer is bolded to set it off from the e.g. text that follows it. So it looks like this: "Answer1 (e.g. example1, example2)" Now the contact list trigger says to send "Selected choices" from that question into an embedded data field in the Directory. But when I visit the Direcotry, the embedded data field for the example above would read: "`<strong>Answer1</strong> (e.g. example1, example2)`" So is there any way to get Qualtrics to *not* include the HTML formatting tags when it injects the "Selected Choices" into the embedded data field and then into the Directory via
Greetings all, I've inherited a situation where we have a pretty messed up registration survey and I am reworking it from the ground up. The survey in question basically asks a number of questions (demographics, contact info, likes/dislikes. etc) and then has a Contact List trigger where, upon survey completion, all the answers to the survey questions are sent into a Panel as embedded data fields. The checkbox for "update existing list members" is checked. This survey is publicly available as a web page where people come to sign up. So, now that I have the survey set up the correct way only collecting information that we really need I'd like to put it into production and also send an email to existing panel members to hit the survey again. The reason I need to do this is because some of the important fields were not forced responses last time and people didn't fill them out.
