I have my survey flow set to randomly assign survey-takers to one of three conditions, and that's working fine; however, the data I'm receiving (so far just through practice runs, taking it myself) doesn't show which condition participants went through. I'm able to go through and check which material a given participant saw, but only manually, and as I'll be having 200 participants, I'd rather have some way to have the program do it automatically, rather than having to plug it all in on my own. Ideas?
I've been running a 3-condition study for months now, using the randomizer function to allocate participants to conditions, but for whatever reason, I ended up with fewer participants in one condition than in the other two, so recently, I've removed the other two from the survey flow to even things out--currently, the program should be directing participants only to one condition. The randomizer has been removed. However, for some unknown reason, over half of my participants are still being shown a removed condition. I have no idea what's going on. Has anyone got any ideas?
I'm running a study with 3 experimental conditions, and currently, one condition is running significantly behind in number of participants. Several times, I've attempted to edit participant counts to fix this--my understanding was that if I set the count for that condition lower than the others, that the program would send more participants to it to correct for this difference. However, the differential seems to just keep growing. The explanations I've found online for how the count works have not been clear--does making the count higher for a condition INCREASE the number of people sent to that condition, or decrease it? Further, what if I now want to send participants to one of two (of my three) conditions, so as to balance things out and not pay for any more participants from the condition I already have more than enough data for? Thanks!
I'm having participants view several videos as part of my survey, and because some of my earlier participants were skipping them, I have those questions set now so that participants can't advance until they've at least stayed on the screen long enough to view the videos entirely. There were some cases of participants dropping out midway through, particularly in one condition, so I did another preview of that condition, and one of the slides didn't let me advance even after sufficient time had passed. I checked the survey itself, and the number of seconds I plugged into the timer was correct. I'm unsure what to do. Any ideas? (Screenshot of the offending slide's timer attached.)
I'm conducting a survey with 3 experimental conditions, and I have it set to display them randomly, but that isn't what's happening--24 participants have completed the study, but only 4 of them were in Condition 2. I've attached screenshots of my survey flow; if anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening, I'd love some advice. Thanks!
I've been working on a survey for about a week now, and have had a Youtube video embedded in multiple questions for most of that time--no problems. I recently realized that I'll actually have to use a different video, so I removed the old one and plugged in the URL for the new one (using the "Rich Content Editor" tab), but it says that it's "not a supported media type." What's really weird, though, is that I then tried to plug the old video's URL back in, trying to figure out what the difference is, and now it won't accept that one either. Ideas?
I'm building a survey for my master's thesis, and while the survey flow feature seems great, I'm struggling to get it to work properly for my project, and I was hoping for some guidance. My first two blocks are to be shown to all participants--a consent form and a space for them to put in a participant number they'll receive through an external site. From there, I want to use a randomizer to assign them to one of three conditions, each of which involves multiple questions blocks that include questions that can trigger dismissal from the study. For example, in one condition, participants will see a short video, and, to ensure that they've watched it entirely, I'll ask a question about some of its content. If they get that question wrong, I want them taken to an exit page, but otherwise, I want them taken to another block, with another video and another question. Again, if they get that question wrong, I want them taken to an exit page. Finally, I want the remaining participants taken
