I'm using recode values to do complex scoring for my survey. For ease of use, not answering a question is meant to simply default to one of the choices. Is there a way for me to say what happens to recode values if someone doesn't answer a question, versus forcing them to answer the question? If not, what is the recode value assigned if a question is not answered?/mike
I am building a diagnostic survey that is only sent to one individual at a time, as they are requested. With the CRM platform we're using, seemingly the best way to manage this is to simply generate a link to an individual survey one at a time in Qualtrics, and include this in a templatized email via the CRM system using the workflow we've set up. Is there a good way to do this with Qualtrics without having to assign personal links to specific contacts? What I really want is to just be able to generate a personal link with an ID number (the code included in the URL itself would be fine), and attach that ID number to a real person stored in a system outside Qualtrics. Possible? What settings would I choose?Thanks./mike
I'm using the mail action to send results of a survey to my team, and it has a lot of piped text in it. I'm getting validation errors that are preventing the email from getting sent, but the error just says: "There were validation errors. Correct the errors and try again. Fields with errors: pipedText"Not very helpful--I have literally about 100 piped text areas in the email. Any idea how to find out which one is the problem? I looked through the output file and they all seem to have the correct content, so I don't know how else to determine what the problem is./mike
I want to automate sending an individual survey link to a new customer--a one-time use only link, unique to each customer. What is the best way to generate the one-time use link in an automated fashion?
I make heavy use of embedded data and calculations in building complex scoring for a survey, and after encountering a wide variety of weird errors and incorrect data, I finally realized that the question numbering in my survey does not match the QIDs assigned to questions when assigning values to embedded data fields. I.e. my question 10 is actually QID12.By exporting and looking at the .qsf file for my survey, I kind of figured out that QID1 and QID2 were assigned to the default questions that were part of the survey template, which I promptly moved to trash when I first created my survey so I can import my questions. So, I emptied the trash, but the QIDs have still not been renumbered to match the actual question numbers. Any ideas on fixing this? Thanks./mike
