I would like to have a drill down next to a text bar in one question. For example, choose a car from a list of models, and then write a word you associate with that car. Is there any simple way to do this, or any Java code posted somewhere I could build on?
I'd like to move the text boxes to the right in a Text Entry Form question so the labels are one line each. I don't want to shrink the font or anything, I want to just move the text boxes to the right. Is there a way to do this? Example of problem: !
I want to have a question where respondents give their answer in thousands of dollars. To format this question, I'm following the advice given in the following discussion on how to add static text before and after a text entry box: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/102/how-to-add-static-text-after-a-text-entry-box In my case this involves adding a dollar sign before and three zeros after. This works fine on desktop, however on mobile the static text refuses to display on the same line as the text box (as seen below). As far as I can tell, this is because the width of the text box is automatically set to 100%. Even if I set the width myself with javascript and it works properly on desktop , the width is automatically set to 100% on mobile. Any suggestions on how to resolve this will be greatly appreciated! !
Here is what I see when I preview the question individually: ! And here is what I see when I take the survey: !
I would like to add question separator lines. I follow the instructions here, check the "Question Separator" box, and nothing changes in my survey.
I'm trying to allow text entry with a "Don't know" option. (I have carefully considered the pros and cons on this, and want to include this option, thanks.) Using multiple choice with some Javascript looks ugly, as you can see here: ! Is there a way to have a free text bar, and then a small radio button to click "Don't know", rather than that very large shaded "Don't know" block?
I am trying to pipe a month and year selected from drill down menus in one earlier question. When I do this, I insert text: ${q://QID76/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices} Testing this, I select a month and year in the earlier question (QID76), move forward several pages to the question where I'm trying to pipe these answers, and this text inserts the words "month, year" rather than the actual month and year I selected in QID76.
I would like to make the "Other" row of a matrix question optional, so people only need to answer when they write their own option in the text bar beside "Other."
