Have done a lot of searching around this, but have yet to find an answer that works for my situation. I have a single select question (7 choices). For one of the choices I would like to make it so that it is NOT selectable - and specifically I would like to hide the radio button. So I do want them to see the text of the choice, but not see a radio button. What would be the best way to do this and what would that code look like? Would it be JAVA for the question, or HTML within the response choice? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We have created a typing tool in excel that places respondents into 1 of 4 segments based on responses to a particular set of questions. It is very complex, so way too much to manually program in all the variations in the survey flow. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for how to have qualtrics reference this excel sheet in any way to automatically identify which segment the respondent has been placed into. The only thing I can think of is maybe using the "Web Service" capability in the survey flow, but I am not exactly sure how to create an external hosting page and/or how difficult that might be. If anyone has any tips or thoughts, please let me know!
Is there a way to zero-fill response options using javascript when the response option is hidden (and therefor unselected) from a multiple select question type, so that it shows up as 0 and not blank in the dataset? Thanks in advance!
I feel as though I have been able to do this in the past, but doesn't appear to be working now. Was hoping somebody could troubleshoot with a solution. We often ask multiple choice questions that then drill down into further questions that have carried forward choices from that initial question. For instance, Q1 would ask to select all product users in the home and then Q2 would ask who is the primary product user in the home (carrying forward only selected choices from Q1). In the case where only 1 choice is made at Q1, I would like to automatically select that response at Q2 and hide it so the respondent doesn't see it. Here is a snippit of the Javascript I am using to try to accomplish this that isn't working. Essentially saying that if only one choice was selected at the previous question (QID27 in this case) and that choice was X, then select X at this question and skip. Looking for some custom code (Java, CSS, or HTML) that would make grid questions (matrix) display in accordion style on a desktop similar to how it does on mobile -- where one attribute shows at a time and collapses once an answer is selected, causing the next attribute to open. I have scoured the board and the internet and have yet to find a solution. Anyone have any ideas?
Is it possible to lengthen the width of the text box on the Authenticator screen? I would like for the people taking our survey to be able to see the entirety of the PIN that we require then enter, but the box is very short. Thanks!
When exporting data via Legacy format, there are 3 embedded data variables we use that consistently export with blank data. They are named "segmentM", "segmentP" and "segmentS". Values are just a number between 1 and 7. There is clearly data in the dataset as it can be seen in the "Data and Analysis" screen, but when exporting to SPSS or CSV all the values are blank. When I export via "Download Data Table" (not Legacy), the values export just fine. Can anyone think of a reason for this? Thanks.
When exporting data in "Download Data Table" format to SPSS, it is renaming some of my variable names to include ".0" on the back end. For example, my question number in Qualtrics is "M01.Q13" and when exporting to SPSS the variable Name is "M01.Q13.0". It is not consistent, this is occurring on some questions but not others - and I can't find a consistency between the quesitons that it is/isn't occurring on.
Has anybody ever applied a least fill process in their Qualtrics survey? Is this even possible? If so, please help with how you did it. Scenario is this. We have a question asking which categories (grocery) the respondent has shopped. From this we want to assign each person a specific category to ask them questions about. I know how to randomly assign, but was wondering if it was possible to make it so it wasn't random, but pick the category that the least amount of 'assignments' at the time. Thanks!
Having an issue where when I export crosstabs I have created to Excel it is pulling all sorts of extra rows that are not visible on the crosstab I have created online. So where my crosstab online only has the counts and column percentages, when I download it to excel it is pulling in like 5 separate rows for each response option. Has anyone experienced this before? Have a troubleshooting recommendation? Thanks!
